Played our first T20 last night aginst Leeds Uni Staff and racked up 212 ao in 19.5 overs and ended up winning by 79 runs. I couldn't play due to a pulled muscle but to be honest I wouldn't get in our best team. Those lads can certainly hit a ball :-)

Johan, I do know Lynda indeed! Uhh not sure if I played Wilf Slack last year, I was a year younger (u14) playing for the u15 though. You might have played Southgate Adelaide? They suck but people do get us mixed up :/ I'm playing in the 3rd XI at North London tommorow btw.

Despite my problems early this season, I feel good about tomorrow. Haven't had a net all week (that's tough for me) and had one tonight just to retrain myself to play straight after indoor cricket.

I hit the ball much sweeter even though the bowlers weren't remotely quick I was trying to watch the ball closer and not 'hit' the ball but time it and it felt good.

Got to transfer it out into the middle and be more patient. Come on run gods!

2010 was poor (family commitments did not help)feeling hitting ball well hopefully bat gods look on me nicely this year league starts today

Our first game yesterday. We play friendlies but were playing against a team who we knew only played league cricket! So we tried fielding our 'strong' sides and keep our fingers crossed! One of our all-rounders dropped out at last minute and nobody else available but luckily managed to get a player who has just started playing league who is an all-rounder too!
The other team fielded 2 batsmen and a bowler from their first XI and the rest from secong XI. Our captain won toss and put them in to bat and our Bowlers performed superbly well and they lasted 31 of their 35 overs posting 131.
The wicket was good but the ball wasn't coming on to the bat perfectly.
So we cautiously batted and knocked the runs off in 27 or 28 overs and 3 wickets down.
I was padded up and due to come in at 6 but didn't get a bat in the end!
Next match Sunday where I'll bat a little further up the order!
Good win the kick the season off though

we had a 20/20 knock about last night, posted 166 and bowled them out for 130. i bagged 3 stumpings

first game of the league season today, keeping for the 2nd team. wish me luck!

51 today, makes it 3 fifties in as many games in 2011. Happy with the runs but pissed off I holed out with 30 overs left in the innings! 2 cheeky wickets and we won by 30 odd runs sat in the bar with a thatchers gold, happy days!
