What!!!!!

Runs in the bank is better than potentional runs as that's what my captain is telling my county but will see if I get picked but doubt it as it's a friends club

Which Minor County is that? The guy today opens the bowling for Wiltshire and was fairly quick and accurate but nothing special....

Played Golders' team today, without even realising he was playing until just before our innings lol!  :-[
They batted first, got 189 with a bit of help from us at the end in bowling some bad stuff to give them runs - turned out to be a silly decision.. :(
Got an interesting stumping standing back to a medium pacer - aimed at the stumps as he overbalanced and I hit :D
Went in at 3. - First ball straight into the box and cracked it - annoying as I'm stuffed for tomorrow. But yeah, got to 17 off 19 balls, did a lot of running - cut one and ran a 2 but got run out going for the second, it was the longest part of the ground and I went on the length of the throw.
The guy was about 14 wasn't he Golders? But a gun fielder, decent throw into the keeper who did the rest - I was only out by a bit, but annoyed, as I thought I looked decent (:))and felt like runs! :(
Ahh well, it was a lovely ground but the 50 mile commute from our club meant that we were late.  :-[
Unfortunately gun bats at 7-10 didn't really fire and we were all out for a meagre 126.
Not great from our perspective, but a lovely game to play in I thought :)
Hopefully we will play Golders' lot again - I saw his bat and thought blimey that's a lovely bat - he didn't use the middle apart from when he hit a tasty straight 6 :)

It's Montgomeryshire county in the welsh version still a good standard as they used to play against Glamorgan back in the day

Been told there going to try to pick on merit rather than friends but we shall see this Sunday

Well I think my mate said Johan 3 yeah, to the scorer...and he saw my Instinct and knew I had an Ayrtek from when I was keeping.
He put two and two together and then realised... 8)

One of those weekends. Yesterday, we were 44-2, ended up 63 all out. Picked up 7* for myself. In rely, they knocked off the runs for 1 down, I bowled 5-3-8-0, and took the catch. Today, we were bowling well, they finished up 156-8 off 40, my figures 7-1-21-4. In reply, we were 66-2, and I walked in at 90-7. Managed to get us up to needing 11 off the last over, managed to get 8 off 5, needing 3 off the last ball. Couldn't get bat on it, lad at the other end ran out half way down the track. Absolutely gutted. Made a PB of 25*, but couldn't get the win. So gutted.

My team (again i was sidelined) did well to beat Hampstead cc in the conference cup. We posted 213-9 from 45, after being 107-7. Hampstead all out for around 130.

On a lighter note, nice to see a certain batsmen from the forum being given 8.5/10 for his exploits on saturday. Looks like someone has got a fan  :D

Got a gritty 95 today off 36 overs, really pleased as  needed time in the middle and thats what I got. Batted very very slowly for me, Other opener got his 100 before I got to 50 and I was on 46 afer 20 overs  :o albeit with little strike. 200 opening partnership is never bad and only 33 short of club record when other bat got out :/
We got 288-5 or so and bowled them out for 150ish with me taking the last catch :)
Good game all round and oppo were a nice bunch which makes a change!

Wow that's so cool! :D - Wouldn't have expected that mate! For me, not you ;)
Hopefully we can keep it going then 8)
Got a game today and feel like runs, shame I couldn't win the game for us yesterday...but it was a great game played in a fantastic and jovial spirit against a great set of lads, so no problems losing that :)
