great day for my team with our 5th consecutive victory :D i had a corker of a game  taking the opening batsmen wickets with a cheeky clip of the bail and knocking the middle stumo 2 foot back :D and johan you need new club bro come cublington happy to sort you out here :)

Haha good effort ;)
The one hour commute (at 120mph on the M1 to get there in that time...) puts me off though  :-[

I kind of lost a bit of respect for you in the post though as we dont rely on our openers. Ask Bradley Stoke . . .

I have to agree with Tom a bit. Graeme got 91 then your number 10 who looked like he couldn't hold a bat then slogged 53. You can't tell me he does that every week.

Fair to say he doesn't generally get the chance?

Yeh that was the point I was trying to make, their openers generally pick off the runs so the middle/tail end arent usually required.

Were experiencing the same on Sunday's for the wayfarers in div 1 now as we have prob found our level where were losing wickets and testing our batting line up more after 3 consecutive promotions. We lost at home for the 1st time in 2 yrs :(

It's the same argument iv had with our lads over overseas pro's in our league as we've had lots of people offer their services.....look at cleeve where anup carrys them with bat and ball....if he fails then the others are exposed as they usually don't require their services when he scores runs.

I would rather the approach where u have a good squad and everyone gets a game.....colsey u say that every season and even I score runs against ur lot!!

Very good point, sadly we have neither overseas star nor strong squad lol

Ahh OK that does beat me. The last four games I've played in we've lost. Everyone's been losing recently. Yesterday whole club took 1 point out of 50. 1s are on -1 with the leaders on 50.
Not good enough really.

My club is also doing dreadful, the first team have won 1 from 6 games and we have won 1 from 5(And that was only because they had most of their top order batsmen missing on that day). We are 2nd bottom of division 6 and the first team are bottom of division 1..

Our team are now averaging a very lowly 12.7 runs per wicket the third worst runs per wicket ratio in the Norfolk cricket League(75 teams in all) and overall the club is averaging 13.53 runs per wicket.

However these next few weeks could decide our season, next Saturday we are playing the team just above us, and the week after the team who are just below us. This is the best chance we have of changing our season around, if we win both we will be pushing up the league, however two defeats will leave us bottom and even with half a season left most likely out of any chance of staying up..

Thats fair enough but we do have depth in our squad which havent had a chance. Due to the fact the top 4 got most the runs last year. However, were in a more testing league and they will get a chance more this year. I just dont like the fact everyone assumes were carried because were not.
