You being at 8 was a joke, should be at 4.

I'd rather be in the 2s to be honest, I know that I'd open every week and get a few overs.

I got promoted to #5 this week off the back of last week....nearly got a nosebleed!

its a tough one mate as we have the same at our club lads with potential who should be pushing the1/2's team and then them wanting to stay put as they are

Lol Wellsy bit his tongue then.. :L

The only reason I want to stay put is because Ben's a (No Swearing Please) captain. I love being in 'the best team' in our club, but not with him in charge.

Another good win today, keeps us top of the table!

Knowle hit 230, after being 190 odd for 9... We then chased the runs down for the loss of 6 wickets. I hit 82 from 69 balls, 9 fours and 6 sixes :)

Bit of a purple patch for you mate! Looks like you're having a blinder this season!

We lost, we had the oppo 50-5 but they got away, 2 lads hit 50 in the middle order, took them up to 193. I was 6-0-26-1, for some unknown reason I only bowled 6 overs, at the death as well... I'm good at it, but I felt that the skipper didn't use his spinners properly, the seamers took some tap in the middle order and he seemed reluctant to bring me on, whereas usually I'm warming up after about 10 overs and bowling 16-17 overs a game! Batting was abysmal, chasing 194 in 45 overs we were 40-0 off 20. Now I love our opening bat, but he made an 80-ball 30. You cannot do that. Our other opener hit 30 off 56, and was going nicely, but because Andy was going so slowly he had to hit out, and we messed it up. Ended up 164-9, I was 15*, guided us to 3 batting points, having come in at 135-7. Inter-club 20/20 today though, might have a go at keeping today, see how that goes!

Great day for the team (2's) dissapointing day for myself. We set a target of 274 all out from 44 overs, i came in with the score on around 220 and only got 1 before i couldnt resist a slog to cow corner and got caught on the line.
We bowled them out for 192. Great performance from our bowlers on a very flat wicket.

Bonus that our 1's beat a local rival team who are a very strong team.

FFS. After yesterdays terrible match I was hoping for a better game for the Sunday team. We batted first and after 19 overs we were at 91-2. After a triple wicket maiden we went from a position where 200-250 could have been very possible to 150 all out, I came in at number 11 and got 0 not out before the guy at the other end left a ball that swung back in and took his middle stump away.

We started bowling very well, and after 8 overs we had them 21-4. I came on and bowled okay-ish, including a very good slow ball that produced a smash straight into the air, sadly mid-on wasn't concentrating and by the time he realised it was too late and it dropped a yard infront of him. (3rd catch dropped this weekend  :( ) And that guy again went on to make a decent score, scoring 70 odd before finally getting out. However the damage had been done and we lost.

Overall a terrible weekend, two defeats, scored 4 runs in two innings, 3 dropped catches off my bowling which went for about 5 an over(I must have conceded 90% of the runs to the batsmen that were dropped off my bowling)

Yesterday we beat the local rivals very convincingly, declared at 252-5 after 46 of our 53 overs, had them 112-8 but the tail wagged and got them all out 190ish with about 15 overs left. Personally i was promoted to 2, and got the best 2 ill ever get aha, felt really good and got out to best ball of the day that nipped back in and broke the off bail :/

Today our 1s oppo shied off but i managed to get a gig with the 2s, 77 off 65 opening then toed a full toss to midwicket because im a (No Swearing Please) idiot. Our keeper didnt fancy 90 overs in the weekend so i had a go, 2 byes in 35ish overs, 2 catches, 1 drop and some good diving takes down leg off our quickie so pretty pleased :) We got 242-3, they were all out for 205 or so with 5 overs left.
