Yeah I'll give you that mate - I didn't go up for it, but that ump was a nightmare to both teams, what can you do?

Be fair, I faced an over at the end when all I could do was swing! Drove you nicely for a single then you did me with some decent death bowling to keep me quiet :) Happy with how I kept despite a few popping up

Top teas though mate, and your ground is lovely

Yeah the captain has been spoken to as the ump needs a quiet word as he's like it most weeks

Yeah if you had connected it could have gone a long way lol

Yeah it's a lovely place to play especially in the sun like today

We won against a side we lost too earlier this season ended up with them 99-9 after having them 25-5 they shut up shop so we did well to get the other wickets in fairness.

We lost. I played 2's and faced Chris Tremlett, well not literally. He was about 6ft 5 and was fairly sharp, by fair the best bowler I've faced all year.

We batted first and made a hard fought 158 from 45 overs. I opened and got 32 off many balls but after much wafting I decided to cover off stump a la KP and get more in-line, first ball I did this I got in-line, nice backfoot defense, soft hands, so soft that the ball trickled back and knocked the bails off. To make things worse that bowler came off after that over with 1-20 off 10.

When fielding it seemed I was the only one which was vocal and it felt like fielding in a morgue which was most frustrating. I came onto bowl when they're 136-7 and only had 2 dreadful overs which went for 13 and they won by 3 wickets.

Not a brilliant day tbh

I had that today, and I absolutely hate it >:(

On the bright side we came out on top with 4 points in a relegation scrap against Shepherd's Bush 3s.
We restricted them to 202-7 off 52 and we managed to get to 193-8 off our 48 (winning draw target 186).
I chipped in with a 32, came in quick time at the end and I managed to help get the rate up along with Number 6 who was a whippet too - he played a gem :D
Couple of nice fours, including a loft over midwicket for a one-bounce four that I hardly hit :D :D
Feels great when we don't (No Swearing Please) lose! 8)

Colesy I know what you mean mate. Its rubbish when you are the only one saying anything. Although as we had roco's lot under the kosh from ball one and men round the bat, there was a lot of chirping. Especially when their number 3 middled one to short leg and decided not to walk.....

All good fun though :)

He came off and said he never hit it but you could tell by his face he had

We chirped as you saw well me and mike lol and it was 2nd ball you had us on the rack as that's when I was triggered but good on you for at least admitting it was not out even though your mid off was screaming it was plum

Good win on Saturday, we knocked the opposition out for just 59 on a Horrible Horrible wicket! We took 10 overs to chase them down, but lost 3 wickets in the process, including myself for 1... Got yorked- simple as that!

Today- Just lost a cup final in a game we should have definately won! Oppo got just 90 from the allotted 30 overs. We were bowled out for 85 :( I top scored with 20 from 7 balls lol

Saturday was a joke, playing on the slowest pitch I have all season we had the oppo 92-7 and they recovered to 181-7 at the end of their 52 overs. I should have had a catch but after I'd taken it the batsmen proceeded to tell everyone 'I didn't (No Swearing Please) hit it' and the umpire who was going to give him out decided not to after that  >:( batting wise I opened and got a 2 ball duck, I played to early and it hit the back of the bat, then my helmet before looping to the keeper  >:( in the end we just batted for the draw

Today we bowled the opposition out for 147, got a stumping and then opened and scored 41 before being run out backing up, the batsmen at the other end absolutely hammered it back at the bowler who tried to protect his face, dropped the ball onto the stumps, the bowler had no idea what he was doing and then went off the pitch with a broken finger, in the end we knocked them off for 4 down in 30 overs

Sounds like you had a 'lovely' weekend of cricket Stevie. Think everyone played on a slow wicket this weekend, me being one of them. Hope for some sun this week and back to some hard bouncy tracks!

Today was hilarious. We bowled first on a accommodating pitch for seam bowling, shall we say. I bagged 3-15 from 7 overs as we bowled them out for 92. Piece of piss I thought at half time. We batted, I was demoted to 6 to allow those who didn't bowl to bat. I came in at 19-4 from 14 overs! Proceeded to bat cautiously knowing somebody needed to anchor the innings and made 51 no. However my partners failed to support me as we were all out for 87! Ridiculous but that's cricket!

Got 34 off 12 balls today including a nice lofted drive over mid-off for 6. Got out playing a sweep slog unfortunately but the game was lost by then, the oppo got 231 in 39.5 overs with one of our u-15's getting his first 5-for with figures of 5-13 off 7.

It was embarrassing when some of our bowlers couldn't even bowl on the wicket. I bowled 3 overs right at the end for 18 with one wicket with my first over going for 12 with 3 fours all edges past slip/gully. Nice leg-stump yorker to get my one wicket though.
