After taking up cricket three years ago i was given the captaincy this season a secured a league title with 2 games to go. Hit a season best of 95 yesterday to secure the title with a few scores dotted throughout the season.

Its the best team game i have ever been lucky enough to be involved in and had help from every level from the local lads through to Mr Gatting himself... 2011 will be a season i will never forget!!!

So me playing for the 3s didn't work, after getting 7-2-16-4 and bowling them out for 113, we couldn't chase it down being bowled out for 83. Pitch was not good but we should have got it easily. I got 6 off 7 before one stuck in the pitch and got a leading edge to mid on.

Couldn't be bothered to play today.

Won our friendly today. We got 244-8 in 40 overs, Simmy smacking a 103* in 20 overs and then me holding our slogging tail together for the second 20 overs. I got 38 in ages but the tail slogged a few so we were always going at a run a ball. We (me and liam) reduced them to 43-4 in 15 overs and then let some of the weaker bowlers have a trundle, think they finished on 203-7 thanks to some pretty generous bowling.

Saturday we had the oppo 40-3 before rain came, we then went off for rain for a couple of hours and when we came  back on they teed off and scored another 160 in about 20 overs, situation was we needed 201 to win in about 30 overs, well after giving it ago we ended up all out for 104,
Today we kept the oppo to 177 ao and I got 5 dismissals for the first time, 2 catches and 3 stumpings, then got 15 with the bat before being caught off the face of the bat by the keeper trying to tickle it to fine leg, won easily though, got the total in about 29 overs for 4 down with our number 3 getting about 110 not out

Got beaten badly yesterday in the league, lost by 7 wickets defending 175.

Got drafted in to play a sunday game for a club in bristol who I've never played for before and scored 104* which was nice :) we won by about 100 runs.

On Saturday we arrived at the ground to rai  and waited over an hour to start. I nicked to gully first ball of the game. I then bowled well and we ended up winning the game by 5 runs after posting 225.

Sunday, I went out the bat, first ball of the game I knicked it and got dropped. 2nd ball I faced stopes on me and I got a leading edge to mid on. We ended up posting 169

We needed 8 wickets and a win to get promoted and we bowled them out for a little over a hundred. I took 3-12 from 7 overs with 4 maidens. Including their 2 openers and the last wicket with middle stump out of the ground. Also took 3 high catches.

Bedminster, I've got a mate who plays for them and asked me if I fancied a game as I was in Bristol on Saturday night visiting my old man. Played against Bristol Civil Service....
