Won yesterday, defended a well below par 157 somehow, got 17 opening in a 40oss partnership and then picked out point perfectly rather than the massive gap behind square. Actually got a bowl too and felt really good 6-1-10-2 including the winning wicket with about 15 runs needed in 4ish overs.

Lost today, was an incredibly frustrating game due to a fair bit of friction between the two teams. We ran one of the opposition player's child out and he wasn't happy saying that his club would never have done it and that the keeper shouldn't have taken the bails off - gifting them a run in the process???? I used to play with the player in question and was pretty surprised at his attitude! Then our umpire turned down a lbw appeal from their opener who then started swearing and calling the umpire a c**ksucker which our umpire didnt take to kindly and swore back meaning i had to calm them both down.

Then our glorious captain sent in someone at 4 who shouldnt have been above 10 and was only playing because we had 10 men, so i had to farm the strike from about the 14th over of a 40 over innings while maintaining a 6 an over rate. Needless to say i got out (top edging/toeing a sweep to midwicket) trying to keep us going. We came close due to a good 52 from our number 8 but lost by about 20 runs in the end chasing 249.

The most annoying thing was that i was on 992 runs for the season and got 67! If next weekend it tips it down i will not be happy!

Played the last game of the season today, we bowled first and they got 285 in 40 overs, it was a beautiful batting wicket, got 3 stumpings, missed one and had a catch that was again turned down  >:(  Really annoyed cause the guy was on 60 at the time and went on to get 92, at least he didnt get a 100. In reply we started really well, we were 152-0 after 20 overs, then it decided to rain and we lost 4 wickets relatively quickly, I came in about the 27th over and ended up on 27 not out and we finished on about 250-6. What was really annoying was we would have won if it hadn't have rained because after the rain the outfield was so wet the ball just stopped, I must have been done out of at least 6 fours

Played our last game yesterday against a touring team, we batted first and my fellow opener punished their (Very) short and wayward bowling to get us 100-0 from 7 overs! I retired on 52 and we made 236 from 20 overs. Bowled them out for 100 odd... shame to end the season against a low standard team but never mind :)

Decent midweek game yesterday. I made 40 off 44 balls opening with some nice straight shots. We made 201-6 dec off 44.
They chased it down with 4 overs to go, I had a diving caught behind not given and that guy won the oppo the game essentially... :S

His bat was ridiculous, a 3.5 Newbery Mjolnir with 35mm edges all the way through the bat! Pinged like nothing else I've seen when he hit it, and it picked up like a 2.10.

Stunning.

For my youth team I was one wicket away from winning the best bowler award(Dropped a catch off my own bowling final game of the season aswell :( )
For my Saturday team I got young player of the season but narrowly missed out on the bowling cup and I hardly played for the Sunday team so got no awards there.

Got close but no cigar on two occasions so abit annoyed about that but overall a good season.

We have a performance of the year trophy, but a guy blasted 185 for the 1sts last game of the season so I missed out! Was worth it though, watching our opener smash the s**t out of it that day was awesome!
