That would make Tom very happy... And he can have a big party to which we all can go if that happens!

Whats sounds good? For Albion to buy out Ayrtek or for all international teams to be wearing them?

Some interesting reading this morning when looking at the BSI test procedure that was written in 1998......

Helmets are tested at a velocity of impact that is the equivalent of a range of 55-67 mph delivery!!!! helmets are passing these tests and are safe enough to protect you against a spinner hitting you effectively.....which begs the question.....how do you know they are going to protect you from a 70+ delivery ???

Humm, as we are dreaming, if it were me, I'd wait until the Ayrtek lids have a proven negative impact on the sales of Masuri and Albion lids before it is worth selling up - then the pay cheque will be a load bigger :)

play club cricket where no one bowls quicker than 70mph?
humm, I wouldn't ordinarily wear a lid unless someone was bowling quicker than 70mph... interesting dilemma

Thats my point sir Buzz.....you would prob only reach for the lid when someone a little tasty comes along.....if the Helmets have only been tested to show they are safe against the slower speeds then surely they should be tested against speeds that they are more likely to be used in ?

more pace from bowler = less reaction time to avoid the ball if one does come at your bonce ???

Are they patented?

I am 100% confident that these lids will take off like wild fire very shortly

I have the same feeling too, just need to get them into shops where people can try them on etc and make them more accessible.

typically what you will see is either a comedy duck or wild flail at thin air in the general direction of where the ball was five minutes ago.
This actually makes it more relevent at the moment as I have been in discussions with our club chairman about making our pitch a little more "juicy" to encourage results (we have a decent pace attack this season) - but if my Masuri lid will be useless/untested at 70mph plus, then sod the bowlers, I'll keep my mouth shut and we can keep our "road"!

Yes protection is in place for them.....hope your correct and sales continue to rise :D

Buzz, Good plan mate....think the test standard needs updating to cater for the fact bolwers are hurling it down alot faster than they were in 1998. Also making the procedure a bit more relivant to a real life impact would help!
