Can't really fault the salix pod one gloves and pads, as I've had them for over 3 years and no problems but the M&H alpha series is immensely comfortable and incredibly light. Much better I think than the distinction series.

i think my new kook stuff is as good as any. Got the CCX stuff. Gloves have pittards and are very light. Pads are reasonably light and very comfortable. Plus it looks good too, i will add some pics when i can get hold of the camera

As the title suggest, which ones are the best for you soo far?

For me at the moment is it 2011 Puma Iridium 6000 FXT + 2011 Puma Iridium 5000 Gloves or Salix Pod Black [Close call among them to be honest]

So change is it, best pads are easily Gray Nicolls Legends and gloves are Salix Pod Black after using both they beat Puma Iridium 5000 too!

Pads: Sommers XX, liked the fit and the flat front style. Very light too.
Gloves: Sommers XXX, or Pod 1s that are very similar in fit though the Salix have pittards.

Hawk X10 Pro Pads + Gloves - fitted superbly straight from the off. Great protection and comfortable.

However I really like the feel of my new GM LE Gloves, however yet to really use them - so can't really comment on them.

Gloves: Ayrtek elites are excellent, also SS camo LE gloves are very good

Best Pads I've used are Hosk's Morrant Ultralite's (anyone got some used ones they want to sell??? :D)

Best gloves are definitely the BAS gloves I bought used on here. Really lovely and supple and seemingly indestructible...definitely worth a look!

Agree with you on the gloves.

Best pads I've used it's really hard to call between Chase 175's off procricket originally or some Vulcan pads I use atm which are very nice!

Probably the Vulcan's by a shade.

Gloves: SS LE Blue Camo (a la Sangakarra/Paranavitana...) :)

Deffo Salix for me, so comfy and also look good :p

Pads - Pod pro
Gloves - pod red

Had some kook ones and they fell apart after half a season! I'd never buy kooks softs again.
