Book says 4 fours, though the one through extra cover wouldn't of got off most peoples squares so short was the boundary lol.

Simmy was on a mission to demoralise me, dropping a regulation chance and missing a stumping off my bowling. Fortuantly, I seen far more shocking attempts at keeping off my bowling in my 27 years of cricket lol. To be fair he did well to take some of the deliveries that spat up. Just as well nearly every ball that pitched kept us interested lol!

Funny thing was Simmy thought they had reversed the batting order and I had to tell him it was their best batsman out there!

Was Big Dave bowling fast offies on that deck?

No guarantees, we're playing against the same team where it all went off last year! However it will be a very quiet evening tonight...

Joking aside, just had news that Simmy has jointly won the Headingley & District T20 Keeping Award with 11 victims - 7 caught,4 stumped.

Congrats to Simmy on a top effort!

Had a friendly 20/20 on Tuesday, playing for my Saturday team against my Sunday team. After 6 overs they were 65-1, I came on and bowled my 3 overs conceding only 5 runs(Test match figures!) they finished on about 120.

We were struggling to hunt it down and I came to the crease needing 17 off the final over, after a boundary or two, a dropped catch after I skyed a full toss and a couple of no-balls and wides it was 1 needed from 1 and I was at the non-strikers end. Never been so nervous in my life, and I didn't even need to hit the damn thing! Sprinted off and was well over half way down the pitch by the time he hit the ball, he smashed it for 4 and we won.

It was just a friendly but that made me remember why I love playing 20/20's so much more than 40-45 overs games. And hopefully that will show my Sunday team what they have been missing when they haven't been picking me...
