The Great Pad Debate... Have Your Say!!!!
« on: June 09, 2011, 09:23:08 PM »

Which way do you wear your pads then? i always used to have buckles on the inside, straps pointing out but for the last year or so i have changed to buckles outside, straps pointing in, is there a proper way? or just down to the individual?

I find that if you wear pads with straps slighltly longer than they should be, then I wear buckles outside. This means that the loose bit won't sound like a nick if it hits it. Also a bit of superstition I suppose :)

With velcro straps, put the loose ends on the outside so they can't  stick to each other.

I have my straps on the outside because mine tend to come undone if I have them on the inside

I had some Slazenger V600 top end pads about 10 years ago. The front leg had more protection than the back leg, so you could only wear them one way round. The buckles were on the outside, straps pointed in...

So that MUST be the right way!

people with the straps pointing outward, why don't you just fold the velcro on itself and wear them the right way?

My Ayrtek pads/my skinny legs mean overlapping strapping.
