85% of the time i'll wear one, especially if im looking to attack, all too easy to top edge something across the line in to your chevvy chase!

i tend not to, as i feel more comfortable batting without. i keep in a lid though.

I always wear one and have done for 10 years, had a cornea graft on both eyes so it was a necessity for me and i now wear glasses to bat in.

I do, too risky not to wear one, played a game tonight where a number 11 came out and top edged one into his eye, luckily there wasn't much damage but could have been alot lot worse.

I didn't like wearing a lid when I first started but got forced to due to rules for u18 etc then got pretty much used to it and never bat without it. HOWEVER I never wear a box lol. I know some of you think im crazy right now. I there anyone else who never wears a box? Or isit just me?

There's a guy on my team who rarely wears one which I find pretty ridiculous. Got hit in the box by a Beamer the other week and can only imagine how much worse it would have been without one on!

I always were one even against spinners because I think I'm more likely to be hit when batting against spinners because of top edged sweeps and with the ball spinning sharply.

Didn't use to until when i was a kid until they made it so for under 18's.  That was my last year in that year group and just got used to it..........so much so I take throw downs in it as now i think train as you play so everything is that same.

Got pinned yesterday first ball of the innings from a good length............came from no where.  If I had not been wearing my lid it would have been an afternoon in a&e.  And this guy was medium at the best.

I always wear a lid now, I got hit about 5 or 6 years ago by a short ball that nearly cost me my left eye, it took me a good 2 seasons to get my confidence back.

I've since only been hit twice since then, one of those was someone too quick for me so I was glad of the lid, the other was a few weeks ago by a delivery that was much slower than I expected so I got through the shot early, hit me right in line with my nose!!

I also tell anyone who isn't wearing a lid to bat (and will listen) that they should think about wearing a lid.

I only used to wear one now and again depending what the bowling was like but last year tried to wear it all the time but didnt feel right, but since getting my Arytek at the start of the season have worn it for every game friendly or league seam or spin and is by far the best lid i have ever worn!

i tend not to wear one. If a track is very variable, then i maybe inclined to. If there is a bowler who is sharp enough to put one round my ears at a decent pace, then yes. BUT, i have faced county pro's and not worn a lid (as posted in photos of you playing), i do like to feel i am a good puller and hooker of the ball.
I should really wear a lid more

I didnt until 3/4 games into this season.
A top edge from a leg spinners slow delivery cracked me on the eyebrow and off to A&E. So regardless of the opposition bowler I now allways wear one.

i always wear a lid as i just feel more confident wearing one, plus i don't fancy a knock on the noggin and being taken to a&e
