after watching t-20 yesterday and seeing alex hales,jos buttler ,danny briggs and ben stokes shine is it about these start getting games in the full one day and t-20 sides

these guys are all on the ecb radar and either in the lions or the development squad with a load of other talented youngsters.
not yet, in my view, but in time if they continue to improve they will get a go.
I'm not sure who I'd drop from our strongest one day and 2020 teams at the moment for these guys.

Tough to make these changes when the team is playing well, and to be honest, I think it would be difficult to bring all of them in. Perhaps there might be room for one or two of them to push themselves into contention, but for me, they aren't ready for the step up just yet.

I think tests and ODI's should be near enough the same team, maybe an all rounder in for someone, T20 i wouldn't change too much but id have Danny briggs and Jos butler in the side.

Briggs? In for Swann? And ahead of Rashid, Borthwick, Patel? Nah, can't see that happening!

Not in for swann, id just play him based on watching him bowl a fair bit this season. id pick him ahead of Rashid & Patel - Havn't really seen borthwick play. Briggs is class, got a feeling he will be a big part of englands ODI set up this time next year.

Briggs isn't ready for it. Period. Samit for me is a better bet for now, if you want a second spinner. Brings much more to the side in terms of batting and fielding.

If you're looking for an all rounder then yeah Patel, but if you're playing another spinner instead of a front-line bowler then its Briggs everytime for me.

This is a bit off topic, but with England looking to gain number one shouldnt we have also called up James Taylor ahead of Ravi Bopara to give him his first taste of a test match.
Reasons: He is in better form than Ravi, He scored runs for the Lions, He is younger and a future talent so this series may be a good one to give hima go at 6 against a very average India team. Just want to know your views?

ravi is only 26 and about to come into his prime, this isn't the time to bring in Taylor, who still has technical issues, especially against spin to sort out. he has a better temperament than ravi and will score more test runs.

If Taylor came into this match and got two low scores then that would knock his confidence completely and will struggle to get back into the team for years.

Bopara is the right choice in my eyes. He is a similar player to trott as that he can bowl a few overs if needed

alex hales = t-20 opener power and a good technique,will take over from cook in 1-day in a year or 18 months
jos buttler = has it all,a good touch,power and very innovative and a good brain
danny briggs = good control and good change of pace and flight,not a big turner of the ball a bit like vettori
james taylor = 1 choice batting replacement on the winter tour

Doubt it, they just made him captain so obviously think he will be in the side for a number of years

well we've had 6 captains since 2007 so we will see how long he lasts(he has only had 1 good 1 day series against anyone worth talking about.
