Ultimate PERFORMANCE Bat
« on: September 29, 2011, 11:21:01 AM »

I have often wondered, would there be a market for a top top performance bat. Pressed to perform, but not last long at all. Something like only a 30 day warrantee, as these type of bats will break after a few decent innings. if someone offered the chance for one of these bats, would you take it???

This would only ever be a marketing ploy.

There is a relationship between performance and durability. When peak performance achieved, then bat is also at its weakest.

Didn't Laver make a bat for Jayasuriya that lasted 200 odd runs?

Yes he did and apparently Jayasuriya came back for seconds.

I may have a bat available that allows the buyer to knock it in to a self selected performance level.

Are you not just re-creating a Mongoose MMI3?

Doubt there's a market for it. I wouldn't want one and the shops wouldn't like it.

I guess it will be also very expensive so no point of paying so much for a short living bat really.

Can imagine it would be difficult to put across the sales pitch, this bat means you'll beed to buy 6 for the season, or you can have this bat which will last you all season....
