First league match of the season - I go in with J Allen running rampant. Well I should have got forward but he was a malinga style slinger and was literally releasing it from level with his shoulder (9 oclock on clock face) and so you couldnt see it until the last second.
Didn't see it until it shattered my stumps giving me my first ever golden duck.

Scored 22 off of not many balls and took their best bowler for 10 off his over. We won and it felt allot better being captain of a winning side than a losing one.

Got a pair to start the season.

1st game of the season - lbw first ball. Unbelievable, was batting at least half a crease outside the crease and the ball hit me right in the middle of the knee roll.(I can bet my entire season that I was not. But cannot complain as the umpire was a team mate who has never umpired before.)

2nd game - lbw 4th ball for a duck. Tried to play one of the back foot and missed it. Thought Iw as a Pro and can play of the pads on backfoot so early in the innings. I deserved it.

3rd game: 42 of 22 balls. Very pleased.

4th game: 87 of 60-70 balls (lost the count. But walked in the 25th over - 45 over game.  Saw off 3 mates before one stuck around to get 38 no).

hope the runs keep flowing.

10 runs opening and one stumping for my school tonight. Had a 30 partnership with the other opener, we saw off the best bowlers and then both got to the crap. After we both got out we folded for 55. We gave away 19 wides and no-balls combined which is 38 runs in our games and you can't give that many away in a 20-20.

Played quite a few school games recently. I bat 3 for the first team there. Been going quite well played 5 matches and I've averaged 54, top score was 92. Last game I got a duck though, was a good ball to get early on started out looking like it would be a wide outside off so I was leaving it then it drifted in before seaming in as well. Ended up getting an inside edge onto leg stump.

Playing club tomorrow first game of the season for my club and I'm in at 3 for the firsts, highest I batted last season was 6 so it's a step up. Looking forward to it!
