I remember someone had a H4L Hattori profile bat with thinner edges and it looked a lovely mix of modern and traditional profiles. Whatever happened to that bat as it was for sale?

Unfortunately its now sold. I regret not buying it  >:(

That H4L Hattori was a lovely looking profile, personally I am not overly fussed about big edges as I am to use the middle of the bat (aim being the vital word).

I think people are so fixated with edge size because it's the easiest way to judge the size of a bat.....

Hoever I think people are starting to wise up to the fact edge size isn't the be all, bats with big edges still look very pleasing to the eye tho

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

Can't argue that big edges look nice, but just never really seen or felt the benefit.

I have a feeling that there will be a forum trend soon with small edges and high spine.

Personally feel the Flare and GT335 are a good mix of traditional and modern profiles.

Is it to do with the fact that all of the bats on the international circuit are huge with massive edges?

I tend to think this has a lot to do with it. especially for the younger players as they all want to be like the pros/ think they are like the pros!

I'm lucky that I use heavy enough bats that I can have big edges without concaving.  Makes bats look so much nicer!

I think bats look miles better with concaving, mainly because of the shadow it gives in pictures

I think the GM 1885 profile will become pretty popular

Maybe I just got a bad one. Or you got a good one. Or we have wildly different pick-up measurement things.
