I've got a feeling that some of the later Perfect Storms weren't TK either

I have 3 brand new Talisman's that were payment in kind for some work I undertook for Mr B. 2 Perfect Storms and 1 Storm. All 3 are TK manufactured bats.

Mine went in exactly the same place.

Have just emailed him to see if he has any more news on my bat, as he said he would get it a couple weeks ago. Even if it's not repaired I just want it back so I can get it sorted and using it

FFS! I think the hero-worshipping of this guy needs to come to a conclusion!

A known re-stickerer with a penchant for selling bats that regularly break in the handle, that turn up six months and 200 emails after you want it!

Makes a £200 G3 Amplus with knots and storm damage look a whole lot more attractive ;)

To be fair, I'd hardly say it is 'Hero Worshiping'
I've wanted a bat since I picked up an oppositions bat at drinks about 2 years ago.
Before I had joined the forum.
All bats break at some stage, these just get more bad publicity than others.

Probably half the 'custom brands' around at the moment are restickering TK made bats........hardly anything naughty....

And as a footnote and to go alongside what Bruce has just said I've had a few bats that have broken at the handle, one very recently and NONE of them were Talismans..............

I meant the restickering of worse grade bats to make them look good, but I agree...Tbh what you've said will kill a lot of batmakers (well, brands) if it becomes general knowledge so I feel a bit snide by talking about it.

Anyway, who offers an MMi3 for £750 (I think it went for 275 in the end lol). If that doesn't scream "THIS GUY IS ABOUT AS TRUSTWORTHY AS HARRY REDKNAPP" then I don't know what does!

I personally think it's far more snide for brands to give the impression they are making everything from start to finish when they're not. Obviously in most cases it's contractual and in a one on one conversation nothing is hidden but it's not really fair on the guys who really are 'custom batmakers' who, as a result, find it difficult to compete on price.

Anyway, that said, I have yet to use a bad TK made bat whatever the stickers on it and I have had plenty of bats break on me from a variety of manufacturers.

For all his faults it's not often I've seen a bat from Mike that's been anything less than top class for the money.
