Have a couple of pairs of Sunridges and like the look of the ones Sangakara is wearing, the 2012 range of the 'Ultimate' are available from Lorimer sports but there �62.99. He has Kooks Silver classic �65 posted.

Don't apologise, advice is what I was after, I'll have a look at lorimers, they seem quite good value. I'd get some Custom mades if I knew who to speak to

I'm pretty sure Simmy has had some from Wymer and V sports do custom made but there like �125 a pair and look similar/identical to Wymers. Might be good to deal with Wymer direct.

Wymer supplies V Sports and in turn V Sports whack a hefty profit onto them! If you can get hold of Wymer directly do it, cut out the middle man and save yourself a whole load of cash!

i've got a pair of Adidas gloves, the purple ones, which are nice enough but too narrow on the hand. the protection is fine and they look great so i'm planning to wear them in during winter nets and see if they give a bit.

if not i'll probably go back to the GMs I had last year.

Tried 2 pairs of gloves today - Kookaburra Silver and GM Original LE. Both were good gloves but the Kookaburras felt a bit thin when the guy in the shop threw down a few balls. The GMs were absolutely fantastic. Felt great taking the ball. Bought the GMs. Will let you know how they go.

Tried out my SS Glads and a pair of Ayrteks today at indoor nets, have to say the Ayrteks are coming out on top after round, fit and catching area seem more generous.
Both pairs are good value I would say compared to the likes of GM/Kook/Puma

Another hour in the nets wearing my Kooks Silver classics with 2 pairs of inners, 1 thin pair customised to account for a broken little finger (old injury that never set right) and some SS padded ones.
Still feeling the pain off the quicker medium pacers.
Pretty dissapointed in the gloves, especially when I forked out �69.99 for them and after only two net sessions the stiching has come undone between the ring and little finger on the left hand, nothing major but again not what you expect from a supposed top end of the range glove.
At 52 still learning lessons on life, should take advice from people who know................lol

97notout, without wanting to patronise if you're getting a lot of soreness in your hands keeping to medium pacers then perhaps your technique could do with a brush up?

i only wear one pair of unpadded inners because anything more reduces my "feel" of the ball, but i rarely get painful hands. the key is to receive and cushion the ball with your whole arm rather than "catching" every ball with your hands, if that makes sense? i find long cuff gloves assist with this.

i also watched a video with Jack Russell previously and his advice was to keep your hands as loose/relaxed as possible - tense hands = pain and dropped catches.
