With grains like that it wouldnt be graded a 909 theese days either.
Do love the Purist.
What do you reckon it would get? I'd say an Original, given some I've seen.

The missus Grandads Hero 606 Has better grains, It's a jaffa!
I'd say its rated on performance and today would be a 707 or 808 at the very most.

That! I want that!

Btw Tim's Purist may pass for an Original nowadays. Team mate bought an Icon Original last year with 6 fairly straight grains but it goes well.

Took it down to nets tonight and just about everyone used it. And I remembered why I didn't like the Cannon. Everyone else was fine with it and I don't think I found the middle once. The balance was fine but I just did not get on with it all. I'm obviously no Michael Vaughan...

I can't believe how much I wasn't impressed!

I'll try and get a picture of my mates purist 808 at the weekend. Pretty sure it had about 13 perfectly straight grains. Can't believe some of the stuff they sell these days as original and original LE.

Makes little difference to me. I tend to hit along the ground so whether there is bow or not doesn't matter too much (boundary on the ground gives no grounds for being caught!). Should the Purist has edges that follow the Spine shape? No. GM should understand the principles behind the SAF offset edges. Makes for fantastic pick up and a long middle!
