I have a few questions. First how can I contact the county coaches?
Secondly which is the main part of the question, what can I do to improve how can I train(bowling machine, fitness, technique, bowling) to become good enough and stand out. Also what are the main processes in getting picked for a county (is it trials then if your good enough straight into the team or is it league team then county)

I got put forward by my club coach to attend trials and then they would decide if you are good enough based on these 4 trials...

That was 6 years ago though so may have changed and could also be different for each county!!

The trials haven't stopped, usually its getting invited to indoor nets, first then maybe a practice game outside, as you progress and the older you get, your usually picked on your performances throughout league cricket.
How old are you? If your under the age of 16 its still usually trials!

I didn't have any trials last year, and managed to bag a couple of games.

If they don't know who to speak to then go into the county website and find the phone number of the relevant junior coach, contact details are usually there and call them up.

that is true some of the county players I know aren't in my opinion good enough to be county players but have a name that is know in the area for cricket because of their dad
but should I speak to my coach, he used to play county cricket, he played 1st team once and 2nd team a lot at county level.

If you're good enough you will get picked! Your coach will put you forward if he thinks you're good enough! Who do you play for, how old are you, and what standard because you might well be setting yourself up for a fall.

Where I am, there is a course in early winter run by Cheshire coaches, it last (I think) for 10 weeks. If good enough you are then invited onto the next course (advanced) his also lasts around 10 weeks. The best 5 (usually) go on to the excellence course. Then the reaming best (usually 20) go on to the district course. The players on the excellence courses are most likely put on the county squad. The players who are on the district courses, the best 8-10 go on the county district team (north, east, west and south), along with the players from the excellence course who didn't make the county team.

When I last had trials in 2009 at under 17's for Somerset our club nominated 3 of us to go to a trial of around 60 people in Taunton, and 60 people in Bristol. They then invited 25 out of these 120 back to another trial at Taunton, and the best 16 became the county squad. I made the 2nd trial but fell short of the county squad

Aseveryone else has said normally your club will nominate you for district trials and if you get picked for district team, you may then get asked to attend county trials.

Dependant on your county, sometimes being good enough isn't enough, often it's a case of who you know or who your dad is.

Can't agree more, everyone in the Warwickshire junior county teams were always private schooled, or bezzies with the county coaches
