Standard blade would've made it perfect for me. Although I would move the middle a bit higher and thin out the toe just a wee bit to improve pickup. Making it more of an all around bat.

When I first looked at the splice area, I too thought it was a bit weak. But with no imperfections in that area, should be just fine. Even more so for a standard blade, assuming the length of that thinnest part is reduced further ...

not sure on the flaw but I would say it is either y2m or misc grade, shall look when I get home for the flaw.

Don't you face any chin music? Seen many a bat crack in the shoulder region, right next to the splice ....

I like the shape Mike. There are around 20 of us right now analysing each pic looking for the flaw, 6 inches from the screen!
I can't see anything that jumps out !

I do! But I middle them  8) LOL just kidding ;)

I think a lot depends on the speed I have gotten ball hit on my Lavers splice around 75mph region and I was fine, no issues or anything.

The flaw is in the rear but you can see the shadow on the face...

Since I spotted the flaw first I'll keep the bat CD ;)

Any reason other than strength why the toe is so thick? Of course this bat will pretty much never split at the toe, but do you think the trade-off on pickup is worth it?

Still trying to figure out the imperfection. Bat looks quite nice to me   ???
