Sachins 100th hundred
« on: March 16, 2012, 11:21:27 AM »

Fortunately the great man has knocked off a ton against the ever willing Bangladesh.

Incredibly in all these years of playing this is Sachins first ODI ton against Bangladesh.

Hopefully now he will retire and everyone can move on and forward within the Indian team!

Great achievement, but I for one hope he doesn't retire as it'll show that he was only in it for himself and could possible tarnish his reputation!

Not sure about anyone else but I did feel he should of gone a while ago as getting to the 100th 100 seems to of diminished some of the magic and mystery of the game, such as The Don forever being stuck on 99.

No-one will ever be as good as SRT, I'm very glad he got his 100th 100 unlike some others as I'm a milestone driven person when it comes to sport.

Did wish he got it in Mumbai in the tests though :P

I was at Edgbaston when he was batting last year and what I would've given for him to get 100

He said as much in his interview that the pressure had got to him, no doubt he'll score a bucket load more .. With dravid retired and vvs looking very shonky can't magine there will be calls for Sachin to retire just yet, he's been pretty consistent without getting his ton in the last year and none of the youngsters except maybe viral kohli looking like a test batsman yet

Great man, great achievement. He still has the best technique of all the current Indian team. No reason for him to retire. Bring on the 150th ton!

I do hope he continues as he is a huge draw for the crowds and is still playing at the highest level.
Whilst this elusive ton took a while his average has been up there and he would bring confidence to the team.

It has not been easy for him but he still got there. Great achievement. Media is still crying about the fact that he got it against Bangladesh but forgets that he had to play all the team to reach the landmarks... Well done Tendulkar:D

It is a fantastic achievement, but 100 international hundreds is a bit of an irrelevant stat.  We don't count how many international hundreds anyone else has/had.  Number of Test hundreds is a relevant stat, and Sachin has an unbelievable 51 of those.

Bradman for me the best of all time, followed by your pick of a host of others.  Sachin definitely in the top 3 or 4 of the last 20 years though.

Bradman is the best evert Test batsman by a mile!
But ST has to be amongst the greatest batsman within all formats of the game.

I would have loved to have seen Bradman play ODI or T20 formats, just to see how he adapted 8)!!

Probably easily. He had the greatest hand eye coordination of all time.
