Crap day, we scored 210 all out after having 17 runs on the board after 10 overs but recovered well but never really formed any partnerships. They got them in the 44th over for the loss of 7 wickets.

I played a crap shot to a spinner and got bowler when goin in at #4 and dropped 2 catches as well so shocking day all round really!

Rolled my arm over today... 12-9-9-3! Only 3 scoring shots, 1 of which was a snick between keeper and slips for 4! Rolled the oppo for 77, knocked it off 2 down

dropped down to the 2's yesterday as our 1's game was abandoned, we won the toss put them in on a slow wet track. They managed 158 before being all out, we started off very well and was at 100-0 before losing our first wicket i went in at 3 got an easy 10 before getting stumped. we then collapsed to 120-7 but scraped through with one wicket to go.

We have a village game today and im sitting at work staring out the window at blue skies :(

I wish I was captain so I could bowl myself I took 32 wickets with best figures of 7-2-18-6 and I haven't bowled once in our first four games? Can't understand why

Maybe it is the right time to remind your captain that you can do a good job for the team, before the match though

or ask to be dropped to the team below, or change clubs. Those measures normally get the attention of the captain lol

2 more wins for us. First laboured to 158-8 on a (No Swearing Please) wicket on Barwick. Nothing bounced above shin height, imho those wickets are worse than seaming greentops or wet flyers. You simply rule out 50% of the shots and any idiot can bang it half way down the track without fear of going into the field. We knocked them over for 104 eventually. My contribution was 11* in a stand of 50 for the 9th wicket. Didn't bowl, just as well really as everything would've gone on the floor lol. 2nd XI smacked up 266-4 on an "unplayable deck that was underwater 2 days ago" - to quote the oppo when they tried to call it off twice!. Bowled the oppo out for 79ao - I wonder if they weren't keen to play lol

Derby day yesterday, batted at 4. Felt ok, nothing better. Had a good partnership of around 50. They bowled 40 odd extras in the innings. Only had 5 before getting triggered, batting outside the crease, with a stride, hitting the top hat, going down leg. 1 appeal from the bowler and I was on my way.
When we were in the field, the same ump tried to no ball one of our blokes for 'not bowling within the correct area'. When I asked why, he said you foot has to be inside the line that is marked out to indicate a wide. Village.

Playing against hit4six today.

First game of the season yesterday, opened and got one before trying to smash a big cover drive off a slow bolwer and nicking to slip  :(
We ended up with 250-7 declared and the oppo never tried to get it instead settling for some batting points and plodding on to 150-7.
Managed to get a stumping by throwing the ball at the stumps which is something that I have been trying to do for years so quite happy about that

Well after finishing last season with no wins to our name in the 2nd XI league and most of our games having 8 players I was hoping for a large improvement. Which didn't help when out first game was the team that came 2nd the year before and we had 8 players. Safe to say we last but two wins later we are looking good.

The team is playing well. Me not so good with some dropped catches (shocking) and a few runs not out. Didn't bat this week, but I would rather not bat and win, than bat and lose!

Match on Saturday was cancelled and today I bowled ok but got no wickets. I also got my first ever Golden duck after being bowled off my pads, I'm really struggling with inswinging delivery's on my leg's. In our 1s game today they got to 312 off 40 over's with one of our guys getting a ton after 20 overs, the oppo then chased it down with a couple of balls to go with one of there players getting 180 odd.

county game today good result, poo day for me personally though, we god 145 off 45 on a decent track, I went in at 4, 5th ball got one that pitched on middle, seamed to leg/down leg, I put a big stride in hit right at the top of the top hat and got triggered the second the letter 'h' left the bowlers mouth, even the oppo said it wasnt out! then we went out to field, and I took a catch but dropped one, and we knocked them off for 113 of 38 overs or something right result, crap game personally

Yesterday was a good day beating Tom's 3rd XI by 8 wickets. I managed to get 2-32 off 7 but had a catch dropped off my bowling and missed stumping :( got 26 with the bat before picking mid-off out. New guy who joined us this year got 89* and looks really good which is a positive for us.

Today was a similar story winning by around 70-80 runs. We batted first got 203-5 off 40 overs, I got 66* in a partnership with my mate of 127. Unfortunately I pulled my thigh setting off for my first single so it was a bit of stand there and hit it after that. A bad moment in the game where I hit one straight and the bowlers got finger tips to it and stayed down, as I got down his end I checked if he was ok only to find his finger bone poking through the skin, not a nice sight really.

We managed to bowl them out relatively quickly after dislodging the openers, I got 4-1-6-3 with two dropped catches today! Saves me buy a jug though.
