Also forgot to say that the game on Saturday was stopped mid way through due to a shetland pony coming onto the ground.

I've seen it all now

won our 1st XI Cup game today despite only have 4 1st teamers and playing a team 2 divisions higher. We scored 143-9 off 40 overs and the oppo were 76-2 off 15 overs before committing suicide to collapse to 134ao. Myself and our other left arm spinner were the main destroyers taking 7-67 on a blameless but slow deck. Too many big shots when only 2 an over was needed, funny the number of times these things happen   :)

Our game got cancelled, absolutely (no swering please) fuming!  We were meant to play on one of our "home" grounds that the council is supposed to look after, instead they looked at the weather on Thursday and decided that it was to wet and cancelled everything on Friday morning!  I went down after work and it was perfectly playable had the lazy idiots used a bit of common sense and looked at the weather forcast!  >:( >:( >:(.

Ended up having a very useful net against the bowling machine and then a not so useful one against some of our bowlers, and a couple of beers whilst watching the 2nds cruise to a 60 run win!

Kept for the 1st team Saturday, only 2 byes and took a good catch standing up to our ex-pro seamer. 40 overs of standing up were tiring! Got a golden with the bat though and we lost heavily.

Sunday we played a team from the league above (South Wales Prem) and bowled them out for 60, winning by 10 wickets.

Played 3rd IX saturday after being dropped from 2nd for no reason  >:( . Opened the batting on a slow damp wicket. I struggled with timing and was too early on most shots. The outfield wasn't cut because the groundsmen deemed it was too wet to use the big lawn mower so no value for shots either. Should have easily got 4 fours, ended up caught trying to hit the spinner out of the park. I made 16. we struggled and were allout 123. Tea was rubbish too  >:(. We then bowled the opposition out for 53. It would have been even better if I hadn't spilt 3 catches. The ball kept following the fat one  :D. I bowled  1.1 overs gave a bye and took a wicket. Back to the drawing board.

Had a comfortable win on Saturday on a pitch that just looked like the outfield had been cut and rolled. We scored 214-6 I batted 5 and scored 16 and got out trying to hit the bowler back over his head but instead it just went straight up in the air and was caught. Bowled 9 overs 0-22 felt terrible, no rhythm to my bowling with no pace and had two catches drop just short of the slips, hope I feel a bit better next week but we did bowl them out for just under 140.

Won by 10 wickets on Saturday, I lost the toss and they decided to bat first or a spongy looking pitch! We bowled them out for 125 and I took 2 wickets for 19 runs off 8 overs!

I opened the batting and scored 53* and we chased the target down in under 23 overs! A comprehensive 10 wicket victory and back to back 50's for me!

Happy days!

My game got cancelled Saturday, and was ment to be playing against Canners team in a sunday league but that also got cancelled  >:(
So managed to get a game in the Sunday 2's. Was going to treat this as a run out as i have only had a couple of nets. Had them 90-6, and we needed to ''tone'' down the cricket and get some run givers on. I came on to 'launch' some grenades, hmmmmmmmmmm, this pie chucking is E.A.S.Y. Tried my hardest to give some runs but ended up 4 overs 1 maiden 2 wickets for 12 runs, and when i say grenades i had to get clearance from all London airports.
They ended up getting 170-9 from 40 overs. We got 171-3 from 28 overs, and i got a cheeky 4 not out from 2 balls. Ok not a great test or runout, but a game never the less.

Had a game in the Sunday 2's yesterday after Saturday's game was rained off. I opened the batting and got 21 from 36 balls. We won quite comfortably I think it was by about 90 runs.

Unbelievable innings! Great start to the season.

Its already being talked about as one of the innings of the season already, it had class, well paced and a number of shot selections in the innings!!
