played at the weekend. chased 174 - 4. I was 93 not out batting through the innings. Number 6 came in and hit 35 not out. Including the last 21 runs whilst i was on 93. Leaving me short of a ton.... Who needs enemies with friends like that ey.

That's gutting, well played though.

Managed to havemy 2nd net in a week last nite, went really well seeing the ball reasonably well and actually moving my feet which is part of where I have been going wrong this season!  Hoepfully I'll be allowed to squeeze another net in on Thursday and we'll actually get to play some cricket on the weekend.

My Shark bat is now coming into it's own  :D

Was meant to go to nets last night - but had other things to do! typical when the weather is nice. It's rained over night here, so I'm awaiting the dreaded text to say that my match is off this evening.

I got 27* in a friendly. Used my homemade bat for the first time. It's nice. Broken finger flared up, but when it's dry, you've got to play, right?

Indoor nets rained off!!!

Unbelievable and just sums up this season. Booked indoor nets for tonight as last 4 games rained off and we on tour on Friday. Turned up only to be informed the rain had come through the roof and damaged the electrics. We ended up taking the mats out onto the tennis courts and played 5 a side with an old ball. It was a good laugh, especially as we played 6 and out over the fence so high scoring game. At least we played cricket of some sort!

What a crock of crap!!! My game called off tomorrow, not impressed one little bit!!

Although we did win tonight in the league cup, now into the 1/4 finals. Oh, won on a bowl out. Well, not much of a bowl out, won 2-1 after 10 balls per 6 bowlers. Yep, i never hit.

Midweek game, we play 14 overs of 8 balls. We batted first on a track that was up or down or seaming both ways. Came in at 3, scored 28 not out, was hard to score due to unpredictability of the pitch. We scored 100 for 3 off our 14 overs. We then got them all out for 70. I took 3-20 off 3 overs. But my god, 8 ball overs are hard! Final here we come!

Today's match called off thanks to last night's downpours leaving the two squares unfit, indeed, the square we were due to use had a puddle that was more like a pond. And the sun is bright and shining...

How frustrating can this get? We now have an unenviable record of abandoned 7, played 6.

Easy win today, batted first and put up 291 off 48 overs, then bowled them out for 42. I had 125 and 5 for 9 bowling. Good day at the office!
