Some how we manage to be one of the only two OCA games to be played yesterday, The pitch was a little damp as you would expect.

We struggled to 166-7 then bowled the opposition out for 17

happy days!!

Who were you playing?

Rain rain rain yesterday. Full game in today but sadly lost by 4 wickets. We batted first and got 175 all out in 39, I got 65 before being bowled off of my pad, few other 30s in the innings but wasn't enough as they chased it down easily

Anyone know what weather & pitches have been like in Cambridge? We on tour there next weekend. Only played 5 games all season and 4 of those had to be played on artificials. The thought no cricket again is depressing.

Not playing league at the moment but played for Barnard's Green for a number of years. Have 2 youngsters and misses works Saturdays which is a bummer! I'm touring with Flyford Flavell who are a social side.

Well chaps, kind of played 3 out of 3 games in mostly sunshine this weekend. 1sts would've played but the oppo cried off, 2nds got 183-7 in 45, oppo knocked over for 78. My effort was a hard fought 15* on a sluggish deck and 5-1-7-1. Felt really good with the ball, good line with some turn and bounce. Helped by a little shower around 4pm :-) All the runs were edges through the slip/gully cordon.  Had another dropped catch at 1st slip, up to 6 drops by keeper/slips this season.

Sunday we pulled off a great escape from 23-6 to record 133-9 in 40. Oppo seemed in control at 85-3 off 27 but choked and fell 2 runs short. Just a friendly, but nobody likes to lose.

Played yesterday for the Sunday 2's against Downend.
Took 3 wickets, getting their first teamer out (bats in top 5), and I'm not even a bowler, I open for my u15s and am a much better batsmen. Scored 0* not with the bat however today
This was only my second spell of bowling in matches in 7 years of playing cricket. First time was this year for the u15's I play for when I took 2 wickets  ???
The annoying thing is my parents are now dubbing me as an All-Rounder... I want to be on opening batsmen though!  >:(

FINALLY completed our first league game of the season last Saturday- made 142-8 and skittled our top of the table opponents for 28.

Incredibly, we are now top, and despite only having 1 result, 5 washots and 2 games conceded, the rest of the league have a game in hand on us........

Good game this evening, we put on 187 I think, and they fell short at 169ish.

FINALLY got some runs 70 with eight 6's.

And I've fallen in love with my Hattori
