Lovely sunny weather in Lincoln, we are on! Gonna be rusty, I've had 1 net session last week, and nothing else since about July last year... This'll be interesting!

Argghh - can't wait to play. 2 games off already, and nets too wet to bat in so the only place I've had a bat in so far is in 'Buzz's Barn of Death'

It's no way for a 'proper batsman' to prepare.

Do you play in the East Anglian Premier League? If so, who for?

Was dropped down to the 2nd's on Monday, promoted back to the 1st team on Thursday and then got a text on Friday saying the game was called off.. Brilliant. Hopefully if the weather is nice there should be two 20/20's this week which should help me find some rhythm ready for some Saturday cricket.

Yeah I play for Clacton Cricket Club haha, will be my third year :) Who do you play for?

Nice one, I'm nowhere near good enough to play in the EAPL however I live about a mile away from Swardeston so know a couple of their players. Might pop down when they play Clacton on the 7th of July to see how you get on(no pressure! :D )

Just the one game for me, 6 have been called off.
I did get a cheeky appearance for the 1st XI though, which was nice, 1-17 off four overs and 0*. Not bad, we got smashed though. The other leggie went for 43 off 4 though, so I've done myself a favour there :)

Got a game in yesterday and the pitch played pretty well, just a bit slow.
Bowled the oppo out for 129 and then we knocked off the runs in about 25overs and I had a good start to the season getting 69, out going for the winning runs caught on the boundary

We won yesterday after finally getting a game, absolutely freezing but had loads of layers on which helped.  2 for 18 off 5.1 and 15 with the bat for me. Bowled very badly really as i struggled with my run up, no pace at all and no control either - I reckon I'm going to switch to bowl off a shorter run to try to get control back for now as I think I'm losing balance at the point of delivery.

15 included a couple of sixes, one over midwicket off a full toss which was absolutely massive and shows what a good middle my redback has.

Seeing that most of you have played a game this weekend, makes me jealous! My last game was some 4 weeks ago :(
