Played Monty's Beard's lot, ended up winning by 3 wkts in a very low scoring game.  Batted second came in at 5 got 0  :(, bowled top of off stump, good ball but not happy at all!!!  On the plus side we won all 6 Saturday games for the first time in the clubs history, and got to watch a thrilling finale to the 1st's game against Bank of England.  Shame the Sunday seconds couldn't get a win to make it 8 from 8, but I suppose 7/8 isn't to bad!

Not a bad start to my season, hit 44 on saturday. Averaging 45 in all comps at the moment (it won't last long).
I've also been taking wickets, so that's a brucey. Best thing about this weekend is that I got a woman at works husband out bowled.

First league game of the season and ran out of energy (grossly unfit) and edged behind on 94...

Finally got off the mark wicket wise this season, got 3-47 off 7 (rather expensive) but at least I've got some wickets now!

Managed to get in 2 games this weekend.

Saturdays game, home to Ferndown Wayfarers. They managed to knock up 172-6 from their 50 overs, with Eric Linge (http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/player/296815.html) scoring a fairly impressive 50. We then knocked them off in 34 overs for the loss of only 4 wickets, I was scheduled to come in next, and didn't bowl. Still happy for a team win though! :D And here's a scorecard for the game - http://dorchester.play-cricket.com/scoreboard/scorecard.asp?id=11469896

Sundays game, home to Mere, completely different story, we bowled first and got them all out for 61, a pitch that was seaming here there and everywhere. Then opened the batting for the first time for my sunday team in a while, and got adjudged to be caught behind, when I got beat by an absolute jaffa! So recorded my first duck of the season, having only faced 2 balls. And we were bowled all out for 21. With 10 ducks in the whole game. And i'm still wicketless for the season! :(

Legger, who do you play for? I've got a game against Mere on Wednesday and heard the track is awful these days.

I only play for Thornford on sundays, we were part of the Three Counties League, but backed out and they still wanted a friendly. I remember playing on their track last season, it was alright in stages, but other than that it wasn't great at all!

Saturday I got a grand total of 1, Was run out, It was a poor call for a run on my part, Oppo batted first hit 249 for 8, We managed to get it with 3 down and 10 overs remaining. Number 3 scored 103, Number 4 smased 73 from 34 balls to take us to victory,

Sunday I got a duck, Was given out LBW when the ball pitched outside leg, But thats how it goes, I bowled, Figures were 5-3-2-4 It even included a double wicket maiden. However I feel the pitch took spin bowling very well.

On the plus side, we're still unbeaten and I got a decent 70 on Saturday.

On the negative, it was one of the most pointless games of cricket I';ve ever played in - stuck the oppo in on a greenish pitch, turned out to do a bit but not much and they made 240 in their 52; they then set the field so deep expceting us to try and hit sixes to chase their score and griped when we would play patsy!  Needing 150 off 20, I hit a full toss through midwicket for four and their last close catcher went out to the rope!
