Finally some runs!!! Chasing 102 on a soggy dog wicket, we were 30ish for 4 when I went in to bat at number 6. We knocked them off for 6 down, I finished 43* . I was the only batsmen on our team to make double figures.

Reckon the change of fortune MUST be due to wearing my new Ayrtek sweatband for the first time (cheers reds!)

Ironically they aren't that bad and 2/3 years ago were right on the cusp of promotion to Wepl 2. They just seem to have lost a fair few players. Would be more inclined to blame it on very good bowling as opposed to terrible batting (but I'm not sure). One of the lads is a very good friend of mine and scores a lot of runs, and has done for BArrington for years. #Baddayattheoffice

Top work Dom, well done! And the Somerset league is a pretty decent standard, far from your village cricketers there so must have bowled really well!

It's made national news! Was one of the headlines on the BBC Sport Cricket page, with a link to this article:

Saw that on facebook lol, hopefully it will kick them into gear. They're too good a team [edit: club] to slip all the way down through the leagues and end up dissolving. One of the most beautifful grounds in the county. Love playing there!

My new club started their season off with 3 league wins and 1 cup win. But we can not buy a win in the Sunday games, we are now 0 wins 2 defeats, both games were against teams from higher divisions and both games we should have won. Bowling first we had Stanton St John (6 divisions ablve us) 3 wickets for 6 runs after 10 overs, and still lost.

Next weekend, weather permitting we play "the mighty Hosk" and his Watlington side. So look out for my thread on "Kit watch".

I have made myself available for the 2nds on Saturday fella - so weather permitting, it'll be good to meet you.
Our 2nds have't had a decent game yet so heaven knows how badly we'll do!! But will be good to say hi!
I may even bring some bats for you to look at if there's anything in particular you'd like to see mate?

Looking like this week maybe a wash out so may make my return against Peplow's team next weekend, if not then I'll be in the 2s hoping to extend their 100% unbeaten start to the season.

Now there's an offer you can't refuse. I reckon you might want to borrow the CF Premier Cru he has for your innings... ;)

Well, you will need to see the Charlie French, the Pro SCat, any one of a number of Lavers. Then perhaps there is a BAS bat that Pete has which is rather nice, plus the SAF bat he has. The we now have to consider the £400 talisman, the Lekka bats and possibly the Black cat bats. Then we need to mention the couple of puma bats.
and those are just the ones tested at various "batoffs".

I am also sure he has a rather nice SS bat, plus a lovely CA bat.
in fact you wont remember about the game at this rate!

The Premier Cru would be my first pick of a bat to "borrow" and accidentally walk off with...
