I played a cut shot. It went for 4 runs.
I'm still in disbelief.

Had to open today, I don't mind as it gave me the opportunity to play myself in. Felt in good nick for 27 but should have had more good fielding probably cost me 20 runs

Played against Pokesdown Willows at Kings Park. Horrible ground, at one point we had 3 kids playing football on the outfield. They're guys asked them to move, they got all aggressive and we then had 3 police cars turn up. Then when the police left the lads parents turned up and started mouthing off!
Wish we could get 3 cop cars down for that, best we ever get is 2 PCSO's who can do bugger all an they take half an hour to walk from the station - and that's for 20 odd kids being annoying chavvy w***ers!
Weird that the parents came and had a go though  ???

Managed to make the picture in the write up for saturdays game. Pretty proud, seeing as it means I was out there long enough for the photographer to take a picture! Here's the write up if anyone wants a read;

I'd be interested who got the highest score this weekend in the B&D as my 73* would be up there with all the cancellations.

Opened for our development team on Sunday and got 24 while chasing 120, we then managed to get bowled out for 97 with all of there bowlers except one bowling spin which combined with poor batting lead to our downfall. I was caught and bowled off a legspinner after failing to spot the top spinner. Very annoying to lose after such a good bowling and fielding performance.

Yeah after looking at all results from the B&D on Play-Cricket I decided I'm second.

Very happy with my performance this evening :) .
Bowling wasn't too good but I hit and solid 26 then toed one to a fielder in the deep. Top score of the season so far and my new Gray Nicolls quantum felt very good.

Had an okay game yesterday.
Ran out yesterday 2nd ball of the innings for nil  >:(
Bowled my very first overs yesterday for the club and finished with figure of 2 wickets for 5 runs off 3 overs  :D
So every cloud has a silver lining I must say.

First score of more than 10 this season, won't have done his average much harm I wouldn't have thought.

Believe his stats on Play Cricket also suggest that was his first 100 and first 5for for the club so probably one to remember for him!

He played for Uphill Castle for a while but can't remember why he left.
