Managed 2 in atotal of 237 yesterday. We had our oppo 8 down in the 15th over for about 40. What followed was 25 overs of incredibly dull cricket, as the 2 batters out there blocked for their livrs as they wanted to annoy their skipper...

Won Sat. Oppo ground out 117-9 in 45 tedious overs. I picked up 4-24 off my 12. Oppo weren't very good and seemed more intent of depriving us of a bowling point than getting a decent total, which says everything about the attitude of some clubs. Knocked it off for 3 down in 23 overs with few dramas.

Yeah, shame about that! Didn't help we only had 9 men mind fella! 2 more men and we'd have turned them over big style, just been that sort of season for us. Only got 7 for this coming Saturday too, out of our entire registered squad!

What club in surrey have you joined?

I haven't joined them as such, as I was around in the area and had been in contact with them about playing before for them as the field backs on to my girlfriends house - but I played for Seveno CC, they play in a friendly league but will be looking to join a club that plays competitive cricket next season as I move down to Surrey at the end of September.

Used the H4L for the first time on Saturday and got 58 from 44 balls against our very near neighbours (they are literally 10 feet across the road), and we won which is always nice as its a bit of a grudge match!!  :)

I'm moving to Morden, near Wimbledon - I have had a bit of contact with Morden CC, however they seem to be in a bit of trouble financially so I'm not sure whether they'll be around next season.

I believe they are.  I live in Morden myself.  Currently, I play at cheam, but there's plenty of clubs in the area.  Mitcham is one of the oldest in the country,  Wimbledon are a big club, as are Sutton.  There's also Worcester Park.  Just drop me a PM if there's anything you want to know.

I drove through Mitcham yesterday and there was a cricket match going on, do they play next to a pub on a junction? Looks like a very small ground!

Yep.  That is, I believe the oldest ground in the country.

Certainly wouldn't mind batting on that! Must see plenty of 6's there!

I've seen one hit a car stopped outside the pub on the corner before now...

Finally re-found form with 103 off 70ish knocking off 255 for the loss of 4 wickets using 36 of our 45 overs. Was a surprise result for everyone as we are in a relegation spot and they're top of our division. 2 of my 3 6's narrowly missed windows and 1 landed straight on someone's bmw - they were not amused especially as our insurance only covers moving vehicles!
good win on saturday for the team, 237-4 and bowled them out in the last over for 150ish, credit to them they did attempt to chase for most of their innings unlike some teams that go for the draw from ball 1
