You think yours was bad johnny, 175 runs at 12 this year, 100 of which came in the first 5 games :( Technique needs a serious overhaul over the winter.

On the upside, 1sts, 2nds and 3rds won yesterday, meaning safety, promotion and promotion.

I'm currently in talks with Bolton Baseball club - going to start training with them over the next few weeks. If I'm any good and if I enjoy it then might not even play cricket next year

League season over relegated.

I topped batting averages with 310 runs @ 24.  Should have been better lots of starts did not go on enough too many 15-20s.

We stopped up on the last day of the season, absolutely amazing!! We was 56 points from saftey at the half way stage and stopped up by 19 points. Finished the league season with 338runs @ 42.25 from 11 innings 3 not outs. Really happy with that. Also got 8 wickets and going at under 4 an over

Was promoted as champions yesterday posting 201-8 then bowling the oppo out for 118. I got 23 off 24 before top edging a pull. Today we played Stroud and again batted first this time getting 263-9 from 40. I got 40 from 29 before being caught behind. Their ex-Glos players smashed 70 in no time which set the ball rolling for people to come in a hit the ball, they won with 5 overs and 4 wickets left

my first year playing county cricket, got a 72 against notts which was the highlight a few too many 20's for them but was ok, happy with my performances need to push onto more big scores though.

8th Duck of the year for me yesterday  :(
Most runs I've ever scored and wickets for that matter as well

Might have one game next Sunday so hoping I don't get a 9th Duck

8 ducks, 2012 is a season for you to forget.

Played our last League match today, needed to win to clinch the championship, which we did in style.  Batted first on a damp green wicket, managed to score 208-8, then bowled the opposition out for 22.  So in two consecutive Sundays we won the league and the Cup.  Not bad for our first season.

Ended the season with an average of 44.25 thanks to a few not outs at the end.
Cant wait to next year!!!

First half was great but ever since I scored my first 50 it's just gone down hill like mad  :(

Averaged 22 this year in a horribly rain affected season. Seriously considering dropping down to captain our 2nds to let the young keeper there step up  :(

Got more than 850 in roughly 30 innings but need to chase up scorebooks to get all results on Play-Cricket

Decent season in some ways for me, couple of friendlies missing from play cricket which take me to just over 300 runs from 13 innings. Definitely the most runs I've ever scored in a season but no 50's and finished yesterday with a duck which was my first of the season - usually i'd have quite a few.

Given the standard i play at i should have scored a few more runs but with the poor tracks in my league its not bad. Really disappointed with my bowling though as i've consistently bowled two bad balls an over which is poor. I was a decent bowler when i was younger but in the 3 years since i started playing again i've been poor, lost what little pace I had and completely lost my line, length and seam movement. Something to work on for next year as ideally in the team i play in i'd like to bat at number 6 and open bowl or be 1st change. Plan is to get a lot fitter for next year and pay for a few coaching sessions pre season.

I am still in shock we lost yesterday... a number 9 scoring a ton... nuts.

Will done Jason! Congrats on the league as well!
