It's alright mate I had a shocker of a season with the bat, having top scored back in May with 6, it took be until this weekend to get into double figures with 10, so much for my average of 20 by the end of the season!  On the plus side my fielding wasn't bad and I didn't drop a catch, plus I was nominated somewhat bizzarly as best play for the Sunday 2's at our awards night on Saturday!  Still it doesn't help when I am going for the role of 5th team Captain next season that my batting was poor!

Fattus I'll drop you a PM as I've spoken to one of our coaches about some 1-2-1 coaching during the winter.

where do you play?

Fingers crossed for the weather mate - I was due to play in a 6 a side comp there are few years ago and it smashed it down with rain as we arrived and got called off!!!  Gutted to say the least as each team were allocated a pro and would have been a top day

Thanks mate! Reckon it will probably hammer down knowing our luck! Ahh not good, very similar thing with us a few years ago too at our club, they ended up doing it indoors..

Won our 2 last game of the season to leave us just top with 1 to play, can still be champions or finish 5th!

Division 1, not sure I've ever been in a closer league!

Won yesterday. Our league season finished last week so its only friendlys for the rest of the season. My Sunday team played against my saturdays Sunday team. We got 204-1 myself and Nick Saunders put on 138 in 18overs. Nick Batted through the innings for 86 and I git 52 not out having earlier missed a beamer and got hit on the head. I normally always wear a lid but decided against it...typical!!

They finished off about 80-90 short , so nice to have 1 over on a couple of them

I'm not sure Stevie Wonder umpiring in the second pic would fill me with confidence!

My League debut was thwarted by my wedding anniversary

My next 2 games where thwarted by rain

My last 2 games [this Friday & Saturday] were thwarted by another anniversary

On the plus side we managed to cut an outfield and square and play in my local pubs paddock  :D  So all in all a great season

saw something a bit special in our game at the weekend, one of our lads hit 94 off 30 balls, including 6 sixes in an over, in fact his last 12 balls were 6-6-6-6-6-1-6-6-6-6-6-6. this bloke who got hit for the 6 sixes was no mug either and was playing Derbyshire ECB Prem only last year. although i couldnt understand why he continued to bowl length balls!
