Lost yesterday in a timed game against my old club.  In other news, I need a new lid after mine dropped onto the changing room floor at a rapid rate of knots...

Top day at the County Ground yesterday, turned up with a mixed ability team and nobody knew what anyone could do. Ended up batting at 10! Came in with 4 overs to go and hit Hampshire WK Nic Pothas for a few boundaries and scored 20 before he cleaned me up! We scored 157

Then opened the bowling against Pothas, beat the edge once but he was pretty good and timed the ball well. Game went right down to the wire and the Somerset Chairmans XI were all out for 153.

Great day out, was awesome playing at the County Ground, changing rooms and showers were mint. And the curry in the long room was top notch!

I had a good season as well, finished top run scorer and top wicket taker for my T20 club, also this season I was hitting consistently hitting decent scores. Kept wicket for the first time as well and really enjoyed it, could be something I venture into.

First win of the season for our Sunday 2nd XI today. Played Bath Exiles who won the toss and batted first on a tiny ground with ridiculously long outfield. They got 226-4 (I think) from their 40, after they said 150 has been par. I bowled a mix of leg-spin and seam up for 7-0-29-1.

We then batted and lost a few early wickets, I came in after 17 overs at number 6 needing 150ish to win. I got 92* off around 60-70 balls I guess including 7 sixes, 4 in one over which I was going for 6 x 6s (6.6.6.6.1.0). Kid down the other end who's 16 batted really well, we put on 70+ to win the game and he finished 28*.

One more game tomorrow, equally small ground (double ton?)
We played them the day after and hit 357 for 3 and they hit 249 for 7 and they put the result up as a draw!!! as we did not bowl them all out.lol

I Love the fact that the guy on 195 got run out! Some words must have been had after that.

No,not a timed game sraight 40 overs,i'm glad i didnt run him out,but to be fair he was batting and it was his call, and was cool with it,direct hit from the boundry.i was next in at no.6
one of their players on being given out lbw threw a wobbly packed his kit and just drove off!!
Not one of the prettiest grounds i have been too,the changing rooms remind me of old 60's toilet block.
