Well tee'd up for my day there wit the AOC boys tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing us bat for a good couple of sessions then sticking them in for the last session with any luck to nip out a few quick wickets!

I think spell check got the better of him!

Normal and Strum? nice
Few ales Tim?
Ales, sparkly stuff and a couple of wines! Good day out though.

Normal and Strum were really quite disappointing. Strum really didn't seem to be the threat we were all expecting and even the saffas behind us wondered whether he was injured as he didn't take the new ball at the start.

I think what will tell will be the English bowling because the pitch seems fairly true and has few demons. The consensus of people not listening to the commentary was that 450 was a minimum safe score on this!

You guys going tomorrow should get a decent days cricket in, and some decent weather to boot!

During the quiet periods of play post tea, the Oval ban on Beer Glass Snakes was clearly not being adhered to and the stewards were ignoring it too!

Is that Michael Vaughan above the beer snake? Or am I not awake yet?

nah, he needs to go work on some issues then come back, Bopara was the right choice given his ODI form and Morgan's poor winter, but I still don't think he's good enough. We've a head of depth in bowling but an England second XI would be a pretty weak batting side.

They won't catch us this time! Not this time! They haven't spotted us! No, they're all snoring in their bunks! Or, you know what? They're drinking at the bar, celebrating our sinking! Not yet, my friends. Not yet!

Should have kept Bairstow in the team

Bairstow struggled against the West Indies, who are nowhere near as good as South Africa.

It's still an even playing field until both teams have batted.

agree. Surface could be too dry and things are starting to get tricky but you just don't know yet.
