FedEx charged me £42 for a cricket bat for International Economy delivery 1-8 days.

The actual  and volumetric weight of the bag will be much more and therefore the courier will be at least £60 imo. ParcelForce is much more expensive. Lookout for a additional charge that I was quoted by ParcelMonkey as my home was close to a Olympic venue and also for a delivery in a suburb in NSW!! No such charge quoted on Parcel2Go

It costs anywhere between A$50-A$70 to get a bat couriered from Aus so about the same price.

Thanks for this, Yash.  Just checked with all the couriers we use (via P4D), and the lowest price for a Tour bag to Aus was £100.58 (ParcelForce).  That's a lot more than the bag itself costs!!

So it's no longer on the site. I'm assuming it's going to cost you way too much to ship it. Awesome =\

Nah, the Tour bag was on last night and taken off this morning - we're talking only a few hours. I think It'sJustCricket found out the delivery price was going to leave him out of pocket if I bought it so took it off so I couldn't order it. I get it - guys aren't in business to lose money (but that's not really my problem  8)). Too bad really, as I was going to buy a couple of other things. Oh well.

It was on there last night (my time) - less than 18 hours ago. When I checked this morning (my time), it was off.

Hi mate, I wanted to take it down until I've worked out what to do with our international delivery rates.  It's quite a confusing situation, and this particular product is the most confusing of all for international orders.  Thinking of changing them to be based on weight rather than order value.  Still haven't made a decision.  You can still order it, but would need to go through me directly, rather than the website, and different delivery rates would apply.  I hope you understand - £100 delivery charge for a £76.99 product is getting on the silly side, to be honest!

Paul why don't you send it in the normal Air Cargo? It is not very difficult. Once you have the Airway Bill send a scanned copy across to the customer and he can go and collect it from the airport. Much cheaper as well.

Cheers, but that's not very good for him, though, is it? I'll sort something out, just haven't decided yet.  In the meantime, Tail Ender, you have a PM...

Well you can speak with the customer - if he is happy collecting it then why not. A lot of times customers have to go an collect parcels from the post office or the parcel force depots.
If the price differential is significant and the customer wants that bag, then it is a straight forward decision

Yash, I appreciate the input - and it's definitely something to consider in future, so thanks for suggesting it.  However, we are going to have to agree to disagree in this instance because I've already messed this guy around enough! Besides, it's our own stupid fault for having silly international delivery rates set up in the first place!

Just wanted to add here that Paul removing the bag from the site is justified in my opinion, I ordered the tour bag and was happy to pay 20 GBP shipping but when i saw that it actually cost Paul 64 I felt bad so offered to pay the difference, which again to Paul being great was not accepted, I can't even imagine going anywhere else in future after the service i have recieved from IJC but they cant loose money.

Now if the shipping was 64GBP when i had ordered i might not have taken the plunge but then again when pads can cost as much as 50 odd to ship then not surprised by the 64GBP to canada / 100 GBP to Aus. I have since checked out a lot of site for shipping rates on bags and even sites like Prodirect that ship a bat to canada for 10-17 GBP charge 45GBP for a kit bag

Although Paul I do agree with yvk3103, 99% of the times i have to drive for abt 40-60 mins to pick-up my parcels anyway as they try to deliver during day time when i am not home, so if the customer is willing to pick it up somewhere then its not a bad option. It will save him money but on the downside as you said he has been messed up with enough ;)

I totally get that, and I'd feel like I was cheating you if that had been the case. So completely understand you taking it down. Actually a bit embarrassed I might've come across as a bit of a prat  :-[ - naturally I was disappointed to miss out on an awesome bit of kit at a good price, but I wasn't being bitter or snarky with my posts.

Thanks for your support on this, Tushar.  Will consider the air cargo option in future, definitely, as long as it doesn't inconvenience the customer too much... I hope you were home to collect your parcel today?!
