Not sure who was promoted, I'll have a look at the teams you'll be up against and let you know.

Ok cheers mate, you will probably come straight back up as Div.5 isn't the greatest of standards. Pencarrow are the only decent team there apart from the ones who were relegated.

Bude weren't promoted so you'll be playing against them. One of their batsmen, Andrew De Rosa is a brilliant player. Averaged 80 odd this year. 12 scores of 50 or more in 20 innings. He also bowls pretty useful darts.
They also have a rapid young quick whose name I can't remember.

St Erme had a load of men that are in the Navy so it depends when you play them. If they're available they're a strong unit but if a few of the lads are away you'll do alright.

St Austell are another decent team, their captain is a fool though. Due to the fact it's their 3rd XI they regularly pull blokes down from the 2nds and sometimes even firsts if they need to win a few.

Rob Daniel and Matthew Liddicoat from Gorran are decent bowlers as well. Liddicoat is a bit of a pie chucker but he takes wickets. He'll bowl you 2 consecutive boundary balls before bowling something that's near unplayable.

Yeah, hoping I'll be given more of a chance. Only bowled 88 overs all season and managed 22 wickets. Batted down at 7 or 8 most of the time as well. I know I made a shed load of ducks early on in the season but I hit a few consecutive 50s opening for the friendly XI so was a bit disappointed not to be given more of a chance.

Charlie Ellis from Pencarrow is a good all rounder, rapid bowler. Also nathan astley is a class bowler. Most of the teams have a couple of good players and lots of crap players. Good luck to you, you shouldnt need it though.

Yeah that's what you'll find in Div 4 still. You manage to get 2 or 3 early wickets and you'll roll a side for a tiny amount. Usually there's nothing to come after the top 4 and against the better sides the top 6.

Bowling is a bit different, there's the odd class act around like Graeme Crews. He seems fairly innocuous just bowls little medium pacers but nibbles it off the seam both ways and swings it a bit. Bowls a horrible length as well. But by in large the bowling attacks are all "decent" with the odd pie chucker in the mix.

1st division is 10 times better than 2nd. There is such a gulf between them hence why whenever a team goes up from 2nd to 1st they always go straight back down.

Ouch!

All are teams were fighting for surival or just sitting mid table, apart from the 2s they were looking so good, but they messed it up.

I got one duck this year playing for our 'first XI' in the premier league
(our club decided to switch the first XI and Second XI around as the 2's needed a win to avoid relegation, yes we were dreadful this year!)
I went in at 6/7 after ''Gawler'' was having some fun
I batted about 8 or 9 balls and eventually decided i wasnt going to get near anything, so i gave it the charge and a huge booming waft of a.....waft?!?!
Plumest i've ever been..http://dorchester.play-cricket.com/scoreboard/scorecard.asp?id=10705225
