Double Dippers Petition
« on: July 26, 2012, 06:11:22 PM »

So how many of you would like Paul to allow us to use the CBF30 code again? If you are regretting not what you puchased but the fact that you are not being able take advantage of the discount code again as some lovely gear is arriving at IJC and you have already used the code then post here :)

Thanks for the idea Paul :D

You can have too much of a good thing. I think the one-off 30% offer is a generous one in the first place.

I'd be tempted as only ordered a bag

I think it was outrageously generous in the first place - especially ordering stock in for some people to then use the discount!

Think it's a step to far to ask for it again. Maybe he'll do it next year - just remember to fill your bags next time!

It strikes me as being a bit like 'deal or not deal' and some guys have possibly dealt a bit too early

I think this is very generous! However if there was going to be a Double Dip then there should be a lower discount, say 20% or 15%

Let me get this straight, you're starting a petition to get Paul to sell you gear at the price YOU want?

I was under the impression he ran a business not a charity?

An old saying springs to mind...

'Give them an inch and they will want a mile'  or something like that...

I missed out on the offer as I wanted to try on helmets before I buy and will be off to GSM in the morning to do so....

great offer but he is not running a charity... Just wait for the end of season sales... ;)

I think a smaller discount of say 15% would be great for both parties. The 30% discount is the best sale I've ever seen on here, it makes almost everything 50% and very close to trade price.

IJC are a start up cricket retailer, who seem to offer great customer service and interract fantastically with their customers through the forum. I wouldn't mind paying that little bit more to support them, and keep them going.

The offer ends on the 12th of August so you still have plenty of time, the people who are asking for another discount are those that have used their discount now want more stuff.

There is no harm in asking IJC for some more discount, aslong as he is selling the products for more than he is buying them for then everybody wins. He is doing us a favour selling them cheaper than we would get them for and we are doing him a favour by improving his cash flow.

Thanks, Tom - appreciate the support and this is a lot closer to what I had in mind actually.  It's intriguing to see everyone's views though.  I can see where Tushar is coming from, especially as new stock is coming in that wasn't on offer before, but there was a reason we made it a one-use only code in the first place.  If we get more 'double dippers' crying out for more, I may consider a smaller discount.  I would rather see how this thread pans out first though...

Surely this is a wind up? A 30% sale and still people want more! Certainly the best sale I have ever seen on anything other than unwanted tat. You had your chance people, now get your money out.

Please don't do it Paul! I can't afford to buy anymore gear! :(

Jokes aside, I am sure it would be a bit of a strain on Paul, so it would be unfair to ask him to do it again. I like the idea Tom put forward, like a smaller discount of like 10 or 15%, but Paul has really done enough for the forum, offering 30% off your entire order, no? 8)
