Sausage or Split - which one do you prefer?
« on: October 08, 2012, 04:21:51 PM »

As the title says, which one do you prefer?

I have tried loads of gloves and at end I prefer split ones. Here is why;

- They fit well (snuggy fit)
- Flexible
- Lighter

How about you?

I am a fan of sausage gloves . I prefer them as they stop me from having a strong bottom hand grip. I haven't sadly evolved from the traditional sausage design to the new light weight ones as I feel the split modern gloves albeit lighter are a bit chunky.

Used to always be a fan of the traditional sausage.
But after getting some bradbury players gloves, I have officially been swayed, also the vulcan splits are extremely comfortable, as well as the ayrteks :)

So I'm not leaning towards the split gloves :)

Actually I find sausage to be chunky and heavier, that being said it also makes pickup tad lighter, ever noticed this?

i find the splits more flexible but for me its all about the palms .... not keen on those pittards one, the leather is too thin for me.

Heavier definitely like the traditional pads but compact, what i meant by chunky was taking more space ( cannot think of appropriate word ). Agree with you it sort of helps the pick up feel lighter.

Wouldn't split finger  style be a no brainer?  They are more flexible and lighter, I especially love the shark tooth type.
