I grew up using sausages, but when I came back to cricket last year they had gone slightly dry (as someone previously mentioned).

So I went to my local shop and pretty much tried on every pair there (sausage & split).

I ended up with the Newbery Thruxton gloves - split style (shark tooth?).

very comfy and fit my hands perfectly.  I've been belted on my hands plenty of times as well (I ain't that good!) and never feel a thing.

If someone came up with split glove on the top hand or atleast the ring finger and little finger alongwith sausage for the rest would help with both grip and protection.

Something like this? They are awesomely comfy as well!

They're Gray Nicolls Maverick Elites - the 5 stars have split fingers..

Split. But the Tendulkar style BAS sausage fingers are extremely comfortable.

Definitely split. Looks a lot better and more flexible I find.

I would never use Sausages, I can only ever remember using splits. I wouldn't even consider looking at sausages let alone trying them on, I guess I'm a bit Sausage phobic.

i currently play with split and find them comfy and nice to play with but haven't worn sausage for many seasons so it must just be a habit thing. i do prefer the look of split so i that basis i choose split

I too have the GN Maverick Elites and they are very comfy once you get them shaped, took me 2 or 3 weeks of squashing them to get them to bend enough. Wheni first wore them I actually got hand ache from having to squeeze my hand harder to grip the bat harder.

And the best part about these gloves were I got the free from Vitas Cricket in a competition  :D  :D

I haven't found a huge problem with either, I quite like both, The flexibility is not something i mind too much, though i would like a couple nets with sausage gloves first.

So, I like both, i like the flexibility of the splits, but i like the added protection (and confident!) of sausage

Sausage - I like the way they're pre shaped and to me they just feel like they have more protection.  Possibly not th case but as we all know, being completely happy with your gear enables you to concentrate fully on batting.

I tried a pair of Salix split a couple of years ago.  I really didn't like the way they were flat pre-use and were very squeaky!  Would put me off when batting.

I've got two pairs of Kook Ice gloves, going to purchase the Bubble, Impulse and B3 gloves over the winter - I know I'll be 100% happy with all of them.
