I remember watching a video of him last year doing all his pre season fitness work. His work ethic was like a boxers, relentless hard work and he's getting his rewards now. Sure you get some luck but he's in form and cashing in. Long may it continue its a joy to watch.

Here it is, pretty inspirational.

He's quite unique in that hes playing in an era when all the world class players are chasing the T20 money, whereas he's retired from the shorter form to concentrate on getting the best test record he can get. Hats off pup you deserve huge props for that.

Could not agree more.  Its wierd to think that two years ago Pup was so unpopular within the Australian game!

What a stupendous effort from Michael Clarke !. Really love watching the front foot pulls and the drives on the rise. I reckon the image of the Spartan cricket range will receive a massive boost . The next Ashes series looks promising already.

The Aussies are doing really well. But Smith's captaincy, in particular the bowling changes were really puzzling. Steyn wasn't used straight after lunch (from memory) and the rubbished that were dished up by the other bowlers allowed the Aussies to get away. Clarke was on fire - 5 fours from a Morkel over to get to 150 was a major highlight!

though oddly when I watched the Sky highlights a moment ago the score went from 91/2 to 92/3 and skipped Cowan's wicket entirely....

got to feel slightly for Tahir finally taking a wicket for it to be ruled a no-ball
Is it just me, but i'm starting to get really frustrated with umpires constantly checking for no-balls when wickets fall
some of them arent even close, so why are they checking,they should be watching for no-balls in the first place.
You rarely used to see this as much in years gone by, and sometimes no-balls were missed, but thats human error and part of the game. soon we wont even have umpires if it carries on like this, there will be no need for them with hawk eye and hot spot and now checking for no-balls
