I am based in Perth and i was the one who got him over - at the time i was the overseas recruiter. Since then we have forged an alliance with a couple of your league teams (Neston and Royton), swapping players to and from each year. Prior to that i used to get players thru your local play-cricket website.
Luke is over here at the moment playing Grade cricket and unfortunately we couldn't get his services again because Lanc's threw a spanner in the works.
Our club is Swan Athletic CC in the WASTCA comp.

He bowls decent wheels at the moment and the thing that gets me, is that Lanc's treats him more as a bowler, however i see him as a batter given his record here scoring runs.

Who was the ozzie indoor player mate? Wasnt one of the Otto brothers was it?? Faced one of them who played for Australia Indoor in outdoor cricket, he also played for QLD 2nd's, I was 17 at the time and shitting myself he bowled 130km/hr plus as well. Played against Bell Drummond in a Kent Premier League game, he tore us apart.....awesome eye and could place the ball anywhere he wanted. Geoff Paulsen used to play at the same club as me too when I was a youngin, he played for Australian Country and has also had a couple of successful stints in the Kent Prem League. He is a super talent with the bat.

The indoor cricketer was named Nick Degrys - all the talent in the world, but a confused character. Was earmarked to join the Western Australian squad as a 20 year old, but lacked discipline. He is one of those journey man players who play at a club for 2 years then goes somewhere else - wasted talent.

What gets me about all these guys, is the time they have when batting - they pick the ball up early and play like time has slowed down... The shot making is effortless.

Yes, and even 9, 10, jack can do it!

Raj coached me at school too. Decent coach too. he bought one of his hampshire mates to a net with us, none of us got close to getting him out!

Lee Savident came with him a few times, as did Lawrie Prittipaul. Stan Rudder was my godfather, another Hampshire hero and amazing bloke. He was an incredible bowler. Not sure if you know any of this lot Buzz?

Seen a lot of the Somerset players net, and all look really good and 'effortless'.

When it comes to in a match, the best timer of a ball I've seen is Tim Hancock who played for Gloucestershire for about 12 years. Hit 70odd in a game last year and some of his cover drives were unreal!

Batted next to Strauss and Fawad Alam at my club, its ridiculous how hard they hit the ball! Fawad had the bowling machine at 18 yards facing 80mph

... they appear to have a ball magnet in the middle... which naturally is absolutely huge...
(double cough)  ;)
