The fine grits you end up with are way too high

What's the highest you reccomend using?

I've got a few things I'm not entirely happy with, as after having a fresh look at it this morning it looks like one side is more concaved than the other.  I'm gonna go back into the workshop at the weekend to even things up, so will sand it again after I've had a tinker.

Just an update on this bat. Got a few of the kinks ironed out today and slapped some stickers on it that I've had made up. Thought I'd add them here rather than start a new thread...
