Was a pretty hefty size for a bat so light. I'll compare it to the Ricochets we have in stock at the moment when I get into the shop at about 1130

i set up the camera higher up to start with so it was angled down so it looked fine on the test shots but i decided to shoot at floor level and i didnt flatten the black cloth down enough :(

Interesting that Kook took the top two spots in the test. It seems that lots of people don't really rate them, maybe down to the Indian made, mass volume stigma. I must say that from personal experience, my old Ice was a stormer, much better than most English made bats I've used. I think a lot of it is down to consistent levels of quality, which you would associate with smaller volume manufacturers. Less chance of getting a dud from the likes of Salix, Newbery, or one of the custom makers. No doubt that there are plenty of diamonds in the rough though, as that Ricochet proves!

amateur night simdog!

Any reason why these bats are big and light? I know the Recoil, for example, had a high middle and plenty of concaving.

Here's the one that landed in our shop today, 2lb 8oz, with 38mm edges - will do a YouTube review on Friday.  To be completely honest, although I really like the bat (pick-up and finishing especially impressive), it didn't strike me as the type that would win a bat-off...

Is it me or does the one on test look very different to the ones available in store?
