At least CG is finally back in form, unfortunately he can only join Jamaica for their Caribbean T20 campaign if someone gets injured and he replaces them much like what he did when dirk nannes got injured for RCB in 2011. Only a matter of time before one of the Jamaican batsman mysteriously gets injured. ;)

Expecting a "freak training accident/injury" to happen any day now.  :)

Some beautiful hitting from Alex Hales, some huge 6's made more impressive that he only got off the plane this morning!

Let's not get massively ahead of ourselves, Hales is a decent player but Luke Wright did well in the big bash too and he is hardly a superstar...

Would say Luke Wright is out 3rd best t20 player though. KP 1st and Morgan 2nd.

And Prior was utter rubbish - one of the great mysteries that he is probably the best keeper/batsman in tests and cannot do in T20 or ODI  ???

Luke Pomersbach, Jonathan Wells and Joe Burns all look absolute quality today, and Wells catch on the boundary was incredible.

The stars are off to a very good start. Interesting move promoting white to opener.
Not sure how I feel about stars doing well, being a renegades fan myself, but it should be a good game.

Stars batsmen, White and Hodge, are dominating. The scorcher's spinners are getting destroyed!!

Some absolute huge sixes in there, 5 overs remaining and 9 wickets in hand could be a big chase on for the Scorchers.

Looks like the rain will have an impact on how this one plays out.
But with the way the stars have batted should have a big impact on any Duckworth-Lewis situation.
