A shot of the side profile will be really helpful. From what I've read, there should be a couple of letters stamped onto the shoulder of the bat - which is supposed to be the initials of the original owner?

Its the (now) infamous stolen one from our man in Pakistan.

I think the consensus was, last time it was discussed, is that's probably real, just obtained fraudulently (and by all accounts, a plank)

How can you tell Dan? Not questioning your assessment (it was the first thing I thought, or else that one that came up for sale on here that was faked) but what tells you it's the very same hooky bat?

If you post pictures from the side and of the shoulders, it will make it a lot easier to explain...

I suspected it (the number of enthusiastic Pakistan based players discussing the purchase of expensive bats (and only expensive bats) but then offering limited information when requested will always ring alarm bells) though I've seen pictures of the bat in question and there's no doubt they're identical.

Fair enough! If you have the original pics to hand then it's probably quite obvious. Good detective skills that man!

This was a bat bought using a stolen credit card. It was quite well publicised on here and on another forum at the time as a number of retailers lost out in this particular scam.

Not suggesting you have personally done anything wrong or that you knew it's history. Where did you say you got it again? You say in another post that your Malik bat is at your Uncle's shop.....was it from him?
