To be fair when you meet a person face to face you have to find some way of working out whether they're trustworthy. On a forum the only way of judging character is through content of posts. That being said someone who perpetually talks crap (like me) can be trustworthy equally someone who spends time building up a good rapport with various members may end up a conman (like brimble). Part of it is luck but unfortunately to try and judge somebody you need to observe them over time. And amount of time spent on the forum is generally directly proportional to number of posts. E.g. due to my small number of posts and relatively small amount of time on the forum i wouldn't be dissapointed if someone refused to buy from me!

I think there are a couple of points here, we can all judge those who race to 50 posts and suddenly put something up for sale, and then those who are here to learn and have a bit of banter.  Yes it does all come down to trust at the end of the day, but this works both ways from both the seller and as we have recently seen the buyer as well.

I've made quite a number of purchases from on here, in fact all my kit has been purchased from either forum members or sponsors!  I had no problems purchasing of forum members all who had different levels of posts, I certainly wouldn't buy off anyone who had been on here a matter of weeks and raced to 50 posts, but I do look over someone's history and try and get a feel for them before making my decision.

In general I think that the forum is well run and that the Shaq's/Brimble's are in a minority compared to the most of us who suddenly realise we have more kit than we could possibly ever need!

once Moin deleted the pics off the opening posts (thanks D7bow) we assumed guilt and banned him.

Hello all, now I am Moin's friend and want to clear up all of this. We play in the same club and Moin told me all about this, I had suggested Moin to take off the pictures of his bat, and Moin can't be Sarmad as Moin is 14 years old. Moin called his cousin and his cousin told him that he bought the bat off a guy named AbdulRahman, Moin did not know that the bat was stolen. To show off he posted that he got it new, Moin paid a good 230 pounds to get this bat as the seller said it was just used in one match and claimed that he did not like playing with a flat faced bat. So Moin did not steal the bat and if he knew the bat was stolen he would never purchase it.

Fair enough if he's only "14" however in my opinion the bat should be returned to the rightful owner (before it was stolen!) and he should be given a refund

Hey mate no disrespect intended but how does someone who is 14 come up with 230 pounds? this bat was purchased using stolen credit card, after shipping the bats the batmaker had the payment rejected etc etc...

Any money back is pure profit if they have bought it using a stolen credit card, just seen one of our bats up on pak passion that was obtained by such means as well back in may last year.

Staggering that they have the neck to post it up to showcase their stolen goods!!!
