Not sure how many people bother with having their bats serviced but its something I'm a big fan off. At least every couple of seasons I send my bats back to the manufacturer for a service. Just recently I had my M&H distinction and S6 done and they have come back like new. (Photos to be added later) Millichamp Charge £38 including return carriage for this service.
Over the past couple of years I always keep an eye out for good condition second hand bats that I can buy cheaply enough to refurb and sell on.
Here are 4 bats I picked up off eBay and had cleaned up and relabeled. Unfortunately I didn't take any before pictures but here are a few of the finished products.
I tend to go for the heavier bats, you have more wood to work with!
M&H Solution, 2ib 9oz
M&H Original, circ 1993 2ib 7oz Didn't manage to do much with this one as it was very well used and ended up giving it away to one of the younger players.
M&H Solution, 2ib 12oz early 2000This one was a very old solution, possibly around the time when first release. Shape was a little different to the newer solution and had a very heavy pickup so M&H re-balanced and fitted the new graphics. I think it came out really well.
Please ignore the buns and cups in the back ground. It was delivered to my mums house!
