Get wilkie to make you a fleece bat sock, mine are very good.

Yeah, I've got to say, after looking at some of his work I am very impressed. Definitely something to think about. Tempted to say the least....

I probably am! They all feel the same to me!
To be totally honest I think people should whereever possible buy from their local cricket stores, otherwise in a few years time they might not be there when you want those emergency pads on match day!

Good call, Ciaran, I like it!  :)

That is an awesome call but unfortunately I suspect the chance to 'save' a quick buck out weights people's forsight to see how the deal hunting hurts more local establishments.

In the case of a single bat cover, I don't think there's much saving you can do by shopping around though, surely?!

I suppose I was talking more generally than one individual item. We all do it or have done it though, search around for the 'cheapest' deals etc. Human nature I suppose.

The Sleeve offered by SafBats would be a good place to start. Neoprene and pretty durable, something I think a majority of the people that have bought them would testify to.

Sleeve is indeed very good but i just wish it was a full lenght rather than just the blade...

Oh OK, sorry, I thought you were referring to the bat cover.  Yes, completely agree, and I do that myself too.

Chase do a great full length padded cover. Not sure what they cost now but mine cost £9 from Serious Cricket last season. Full length, very padded. All you need really!

Acutally the willowstix bat cover is very nice too...Paul at IJC hooked me up with one of those, very nicely built and big enough to easily fit big bats...
