Having played a fair but of mixed hockey I stand by the if your good enough treat them no different

Same as playing against youngsters if they play 1st xi cricket I'd bounce them quite happily as if there club think there good enough be it make female old or young it's fair game

Unless the club are desperately short and have a word before I treat all same

With all the padding we have now? Like 35 years ago batsman didn't use helmetsor muxh padding and the bowlers didnt hold back. Sorry leo but you're coming across as a bit of a misogynist from where I stand...

I bowled at woman last year and got her out. She did take me for 6 runs, mostly edged through gully. That's more than most of the men managed in the entire season. I'm not proud, I'll take any wicket I can get. Must be nice to be fussy like Leo lol

That's a good point, you cant bowl 80mph but some of the ladies can.

I didnt mean it's the reason i said its a PLUS,
She will be fine and im sure she is good enough to play.

I agree womens cricket should be able to stand on it's own, have their own base.
But i do think she should be playing with the mens as she is good enough.
If more women start wanting to play at that level the game will grow which will give us that base that we need.

Its still seen as the pinnacle of Soccer in America, and realistically they still talk about women to join the ryman leagues and on in England!

It has happened in golf. Women have played in competitions as they were good enough to be in the field. There's no negative effects that I'm aware of.

I'm not sure I agree with this. I'm not saying its right but men's cricket is the top end of the sport, and test match players would not be tested in the womens game as much as the other way around. The Sarah Taylor thing is almost like the next step, whereas for men it would not be.
